With the release of Unleashed Recomp, I decided to compile all the needed files to install into one easy .zip! Includes the base game, title update, and optional DLC.

(Note: selecting the folder doesn't work in the installer. You will have to add each file separately.)

Back in 2008, Sonic Unleashed was a game that pushed boundaries for graphics for the 7th gen consoles. Compared to the muddy grey brown bloom gritty bullshit aesthetic that plagued early 7th gen games, it was a god damn masterpiece in graphics and art direction. However, the graphics were so advanced that It took until the 2020s for the game to run at a consistent fps. It was that technologically demanding.

Now it's come back to pave the way for Xbox 360 games to get properly preserved and easily accessed by everyone. There's a lot of dogshit pc ports of 7th generation games and them finally being able to get the chance to run on modern hardware without killing itself is extremely exciting.

Sonic Unleashed truly is an important game. It's about to potentially preserve hundreds of games due to Sega not wanting to release a pc port.

This is what happens when companies don't do the work to preserve their games, the fans and the communities of these games step up and say "fine... I'll do it myself..."

And thanks to that, we have an accessible pc port of Unleashed that isnt too demanding to run on your pc and better mod support.

I mean come on, i get to play as a trans fem Sonic? That's fucking rad as hell.
