German Grading System Decoded: Why 1.0 is the Best
The German grading system works in reverse. 1.0 - 1.5 is Excellent ("Sehr Gut"). 1.6 - 2.5 is Good ("Gut"). 3.6 - 4.0 is Sufficient ("Ausreichend"), the minimum to pass. 5.0 is a Fail ("Mangelhaft"). Knowing this helps you accurately gauge your academic performance.
