Random but true: Dean Ambrose has never had a Universal title match.
Even though the championship has only been around since 2016, out of many title defenses between the belts debut and the time Ambrose left WWE, he’s never had a shot at the title. Although he’s Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are almost synonymous with the title.
Another dumb fact:
This mfer has more Universal title shots under his belt than Moxley. Actually 3 other stars from AEW have more UndiUniDubblyHeavyChampy shots than Moxley and 2 of them are in the fuckin BBC club with him.
To his credit though, Ambrose was the top star on Smackdown Live at the time the title first came to be and I’m sure whenever he returned from injury that he was in talks to be in the title picture at some point but they most likely scrapped those plans once he told them he was leaving.
I disliked this version of Dean though to be honest, too teenage fantasy for me but the stories were cool.
This was my shit though. This is who should’ve won the Universal Title. We don’t have to talk about the weird ass Immunocompromised Bane gimmick but the brown leather was a look. If he ever decides to return to the fed he should bring this with him if it’s not been turned to ash.
But he’s been killing it as one of the forefathers of AEW so he still touching something Roman and Seth could never and she’s a bad bitch.
