Every other character in the Universal Monsters lineup has something supernatural going on, but the Phantom of the Opera is literally just a guy. I know he's only there because Universal happened to own the movie rights when they were putting together the world's first Big Stupid Cinematic Universe back in 1930-whatever, but it's like, as though being the Phantom of the Opera wasn't awkward enough.
