Last year my school had the opportunity to start the Unified Track Program which allows students of all abilities to compete in sports. The teams are composed of athletes and partners. I am a partner, I help the athletes learn how to compete in different events because they were never allowed the opportunity before. The boy with me in this picture was always a quite and shy one, but today we played foot tag on the turf. We took pictures together and had conversations that lasted longer than 30 seconds. Today was our last meet and in the next two weeks I will be graduating heading off to college, but small moments like these are ones that I will remember for a lifetime.
