uni life updates no one asked for one of my professors, last semester, kindly invited me to be part of a research project with him because he really liked the essay i wrote for an assignment, he said i was a good writer and he’d like to work with me which made me so proud. he said he figured i want to pursue a masters degree (since apparently that is very clear to everyone) and being a part of a research project would help me with that. i was really happy because i have been trying to be a part of a research project since i started uni so the fact that he wanted me to begin one from scratch with him made me so flattered. anyway, i emailed him about it last week and we've been corresponding about it and i’m truly excited. also, he’s on vacation and i asked him to bring me a postcard, he said he couldn't find any but will bring me a different souvenir instead and i’m geeking out so hard right now
bottom line is: be friends with your professors, they might bring you souvenirs and invite you to start research projects so that you’ll have cookie points when applying for grad school which you really want to do
