Around the outer edge of the lid and on one of the flat surfaces for the knobs used to close the container are incised circles. The tiny figure of a hedgehog ππ°ππππΏπ βαΈ₯nt3β, associated with the cycle of death π ππ βm(w)tβ and rebirth ππ πππ΄π ±ππ βwαΈ₯m mswtβ , sits in front ππ βαΈ₯3.αΉ―β of the other knob. On the lid are the cartouches π²πππ ±πΆ βΕ‘nwβ of: Ramesses II Throne Name Usermaatre-Setepenre (π³ππ§ππ³π) βMighty is the Justice of Re, Chosen of Reβ. And his Great Royal Wife ππππ ¨ππ βαΈ₯m.t-n(y)-sw-wr.αΉ―β, Nefertari (ππ π€ππππππ) βnfr-ti-ri-mri.t-mwtβ βBeautiful Companion, Beloved of Mutβ. The purpose of the box is uncertain, but it was likely used for cosmetics.
