Anonymous: Selene looked into Michael's eyes as she breathed heavily. She looked around her and then back to him. She spoke softly as they hid behind the alley wall. She could still hear the running footsteps of the two men--vampires rather-- chasing them.
"Michael followed her behind the alley wall. He, too, could hear the pounding of the vampire’s feet against the cold concrete. He turned to Selene, kissed her, and then took off to protect them. "
Selene felt a chill go down her body as she felt his lips touch hers. "Michael! No!" She yelled for him, but she was too late. He stood before the beast and she lay behind the wall, holding out her arm, helplessly begging for him to come back.
