Now you see it....
Day 198.
Despite my better instincts, I avoided resting today and got busy. Gala and I took the dogs to Omaha where we found a baby hammerhead washed up (and freshly dead), so we took it up to the marine lab after our walk for the students. It was in perfect condition and quite a beautiful little thing, a boy (teeny claspers) and iridescent brown/purple/grey skin.Â
After a quick look around the marine centre and a stop for coffee and pineapple fritters, I took Gala back into Matakana so she could catch up with Nana and Pop for a movie.
By the time I got home I was so so exhausted. It was a beautiful day but I wanted to crash, so wasn’t looking forward to getting in.
Despite all of that, I got in at sunset and took photos of the light on the water - it was calm and beautiful. And I loved it :)
