This theory is kind of a long shot, but it’s something random I thought of when thinking about Deltarune Chapter 2. You know how there’s that closet in the computer room that randomly has some flavor text about how a large man could fit in there? What if NEO is in there? It’s not a super strong theory, but it does have at least some evidence for it when you think about it. Mettaton doesn’t have his robot body in this world, he’s still Hapstablook. Most likely because Alphys is a teacher in this world instead of a scientist, so they wouldn’t be able to build a super complex robot like Mettaton. But what if the two tried anyway. Went to the computer lab to do some research on it. Kept it in the closet there. It probably wouldn’t be as good as the original Mettaton, and looking at Spamton NEO we see that he has to stay plugged in and his design looks much more patchworked than the polished UT Mettaton. Additionally, we find it in the Queen’s basement. Which seems like it could be an equivalent to the closet with how dark and creepy it is. Especially if the cabinet in the old classroom is King Chaos’s castle, than the closet could easily be storing the computer tower that equals Queen’s castle. Just a random thought. If anyone can think of more evidence to confirm or dispute this, feel free to say something.
