Name: Vegetoid

Debut: Undertale

I. Love. Vegetoid. Ever since I first saw Vegetoid! I loved it so much! Obviously, it’s a root vegetable, like a carrot or a parsnip or a turnip, but then there’s that face! That ominous, cackling, mask-like face! What sinister plans could be going on inside the mind of this weird, sinister, plant?

Nothing too sinister! Vegetoid just wants to make sure you are healthy! Ask for dinner, and Vegetoid will rain a whole bunch of healthy, tasty food onto your soul. As Vegetoid instructs, you should “Eat Your Greens” and collect the green projectiles, while avoiding everything else! Those are less healthy, but green vegetables? Those are good for the soul!

Of course, that’s nowhere NEAR the end of Vegetoid’s weirdness! If you just want to save some time, you can just “Devour” Vegetoid instead, which will end the fight and heal you a little bit. Don’t worry, if you’re aiming for a pacifist run, though, as that does not count as killing Vegetoid! You’re just eating it alive, perfectly natural.

And then there’s Vegetoid’s hilarious speech pattern. It Talks With Capitalized Letters Like This, with minimal punctuation for added humorous effect. Its dialogue ranges from it talking about how healthy it is to the weirdly ominous “ Farmed Locally, Very Locally”

But my absolute FAVORITE line of Vegetoid dialogue is if you choose to “Talk” to it, in which it responds with “Plants Can’t Talk Dummy”. Wonderful!

Name: Parsnik

Debut: Undertale

If you decide to play the game on hard mode, however, you get Parsnik instead! Not exactly a “stronger color variation,” since the enemy sprites are all in black and white, but a similar spirit! Parsnik mishears your request for snacks and fires of “Tasty Green Snakes” instead, which can be eaten just the same. You slurp them up like spaghetti! I really love the detail of the roots also being snakes for a weird, medusa-type character.

Yes, I even designed enemies 💀💀💀 the only ones I haven't designed are Hotland ones, I need to find my notes

Altho I did redesign most of the enemies, while I added some of my own, like the Centimahi, enemies have different attacks depending on their soul trait
