#underpainting

@crabussy hello! I have started a painting of you. I present the under painting:

You know I kept wondering why Milo made me so uncomfortable as a character, and why I was so much more critical of him compared to the other characters like Gage. This increased when I saw others in the comments of the comic being less critical than I was. Now I’ve realized it’s probably because I see a lot of myself in him. I feel really infantalized by those around me and also still have to live with my parents, and while of course Milo and me aren’t exactly alike- I feel a weird uncomfortable kinship with him. I think Milo and Gage are my favorites. I’m also currently starting a painting of Gage as well. (I know his hair is longer than it supposed to be, but I actually kinda like the look on him) Well, let’s hope I can sleep tonight lest I be consumed by my shame and anxiety.
