Corset, Silk Textile (1891)

Belle Époque garment designed by Maison Léoty (circa 1880–1910). The Parisian design house revolutionized corsetry by creating pieces that promoted flexibility and ease of movement. This corset embodies the era's shift away from the rigid, conical silhouette of the 18th century to a softer, more natural figure preferred in the late 19th century. Loc.
