Saturday evening at my favorite eel restaurant.　Snow had just begun to fall. After an artful appetizer, a beautifully plump and perfect unaju.

Unajyu (special) with rice, 4,400 yen at Owada, Umegaoka. If you want to call it "Machi Chuka", it's "Machi Una". In the Showa era (1920’s〜1980’s) there used to be at least one unagi (eel) shop in the town. Only in Nagoya? Only in Nagoya's Showa Ward, Naka Ward, and Higashi Ward?) This eel shop is just like that. They have eel skewers. yakitori & grilled eel on rice...charcoal is really magical...

The unagi is baked after steamed, so it is tasty with fluffy food. The sauce is soft, so it's good to cooked rice and eat until the end.
