DAMOCLES as YOUNG GIRL A
i know i've said this one before, but i feel like young girl a somewhat encapsulates what damocles is saying. the song is apparently (my interpretation) supposed to reflect on siinamota's immense feelings of isolation and existential dread concerning his identity. the lyrics '何番目でも 何番目でも 僕が僕であるために : Do I care where I am on this line in order for me, to be me?' are a question about his role in the world, somewhat reflecting vessel's lyrics in damocles 'Who will i be when the empire falls? Wake up alone and i'll be forgotten' both damocles (greek parabole about the constant growing fear of something bad happening anywhere at anytime) and young girl a (gender neutral term given to traumatized victims; similar to john/jane doe) act as vulnerable musical diaries that show the despair of growth (whether it be career-wise or aging).
VORE as KITSUNE NO YOMEIRI
NOW HEAR ME OUT FOR A SEC... they both sound like the plot for an erotic horror novel. if you're still reading, then lend me your ears please and thank you. vore is supposed to be an allegorical representation of an obsessive toxic relationship, right? (pls somebody agree with me my head is hurting) well kitsune no yomeiri is a story abt a cursed cannibalistic woman falling in love with another girl, eventually making love, then eating her. the line 'ほんとにあなたと ひとつになれたわ 骨までしゃぶって あなたを愛すわ : I truly have become one with you, sucking on your bones, I will love you' can be considered a macabre and gory declaration of love. the woman blurs sex and bloody vice (here being eating her), reflecting vore's line 'Follow me between the jaws of fate, so I can have you to myself for once.' both these songs encompass themes of sexual pleasure, cannibalism/vore and obsession, but hold symbolism of a mutual romance gone dark.
LIKE THAT as IFUUDOUDOU
must i really provide a discursive explanation as to why ifuudoudou and probably one of the most sensual songs st has ever released are made for each ot- alright. ifuudoudou is sung from the perspective of young women recounting their many sexual experiences. just as like that blends remorse, toxicity and lust, ifuudoudou mashes pain, pleasure and submission. ifuudoudou's lyrics '時には噛んだりして 痛みを覚えさせて : Bite down from time to time, let me remember what pain feels like' reflect not only sexual euphoria, but also one sided sadomasochism (whether that be in relation to sex or self destruction in a relationship), which share similarities to like that's 2nd verse 'Push down into membranes and layers, creating a slow dissection.' both songs, although sung by people seemingly given the power in their respective dynamics, hide a layer of manipulation from the other's part, thereby creating a cycle of toxic love and reconciliation.
BLOODSPORT as AI O SAGASHITE
OKAY NOW I KNOW THIS MIGHT SEEM CONFUSING OR CRAZY TO SOME PEOPLE... BUT LEND ME YOUR EARS ON THIS. ai o sagashite and bloodsport are two sides of the same coin. while bloodsport is kinda like vessel CLEARLY knowing that sleep is bad for his head, right? then ai o sagashite could probably be like, before all of that? like the then and the now. ai o sagashite has kinda cute lyrics like ' 待っているんだ ずっと 夢の中でずっと 待ち続けてる ずっと 霧の中でずっと : I'll wait for you, as long as it takes, in my dream, forever and ever, I'll keep waiting as long as it takes, in the fog forever and ever…' and then bloodsport has lyrics that cut deep like 'I'm still your favorite regret, you're still my weapon of choosing' that show duality and how quickly a relationship can fall to the dark side. from my point of view, ai o sagashite shows little signs that the relationship is going to end badly, while bloodsport IS the relationship once those signs have manifested greatly.

GODS as MATRYOSHKA
not much to say about this one except they both sound like somebody going absolutely insane but in different ways. gods sounds like the angry type of going mad (No more taking chances, no more teeth to bite with, no more smiling faces, I am alone again) while matryoshka sounds more like the playful going insane (こんな感情どうしようか? ちょっと教えてくれないか? : What should I do with this kind of emotion? Won't you please tell me?). it's like the duality of a hard and loud crashout and a 'hehe' kinda crashout. gods is more like 'fuck you' and matryoshka is more on the 'idk what the fuck is going on but its fucking with my brain and idk how to feel abt it ;-;'.
