Finished a… Space Marine???

I know, a non-Aeldari miniature is a strange one for me to post! I’ve had this guy in the works on and off for the past couple of years, ever since watching an episode of Um, Actually with this technically-inaccurate action figure:

I knew I wanted to have a crack at making the miniature equivalent!

(Um, actually, Black Templars aren’t yellow, but um, actually, they’re a successor chapter of the Imperial Fists who ARE yellow, and I imagine this whole thing is giving Rogal Dorn a big headache - wherever he is.)

To me, a Black Templar isn’t complete without him standing on top of a pile of rubble a la John Blanche’s cover art for Warhammer 40’000 third edition (RIP to a real one), so I imagined him physically crashing through the roof of the Um, Actually set to make some corrections of his own. It was also an excuse to litter the base with props seen on-set in the background of the show!

This guy is no longer in my personal collection: last night I went to see Um, Actually at the Roundhouse in Camden (which was a lot of fun!!) and afterwards I was able to catch up with Ify Nwadiwe (host of the show and avowed Warhammer Guy) and present it to him in its own display case! He was absolutely chuffed with it, and I’m glad it’s found a good home.

Not just for transwoman representation but because she has shared that she absolutely loves Dropout and was clearly having the time of her life. She'd be a great candidate for a future Dirty Laundry or Um Actually, I think.

It's great to have transfem rep that's clearly passionate and excited about what they're doing.

If they remove it next season, the show will improve.
