Okay, okay! So, when it comes to parenthood with these ships, these are my headcanons!!

Ultrabulk

So, with this ship, I say they'd been Conjuxed for a while, post war. Settled into a nice home on a rebuilt Cybertron and decided that it was a good time to start a family.

Their lives were stable, they had a steady income, and they are both so madly in love with each other. Neither mech could stay away for too long wanting to be close and affectionate.

Eventually, they find the time, and create a sparkling.

Bulkhead is the carrier and Magnus is the sire. They have one bittie, given both are large mechs.

It's common that mechs their size, when carrying, will produce one bittie, on the rare occasion twins. This will give the bittie plenty of space to grow in either their carrier's gestation tank- or their spark chamber- depending on how they choose to carry.

Headcanons:

• Ultra Magnus is very protective over his mate and unborn sparkling. He keeps Bulk close through the entire carrying process (which is longer for bots their size).

• Magnus ends up more hormonal than Bulkhead, who is literally pregnant. He gets very emotional, and spends hours admireing Bulk's abdomen where the sparkling grows.

• He cried when they found out Bulkhead was sparked. They both cried, actually. Hugged each other as they cried out gleefully.

• Ultra is a very doting mate. He cooks, cleans, fixes a proper place for Bulkhead to relax. He's always ensuring Bulkhead is as healthy as he can be through the carrying cycle. He even read as many old pamphlets that he could dig out about first time parenthood- and monitored Bulk's plate color throughout it. If he even looked like he was getting too grey, it was off to a medic.

• Bulkhead teased him throughout the whole process. Anytime the mech would ask him questions, fuss over him, the big, green ex-Wrecker would make a quip or chuckle at him.

• When the sparkling is born, Magnus is by Bulkhead's side the entire time. He breaks down into tears, absolutely enamored by his mate. He praised his lover, kissed his helm, thought it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.

• The bittie looks more like Bulkhead. Magnus has really weak genetics, can't pass them on easily. But of course, the bittie has some of his features! It got his antennas and similar biolight patterns.

• Bittie is a mech!

• Ensures plenty of rest for the new carrier and their bittie, wanting to make sure more than anything they stay safe. The war is over, Cybertron is new, and it's time for new life to take hold. It's the start of a new generation.

UltraJack

With these two, their relationship had been going strong for a couple of years. They were close, in love, and frankly, just crazy for one another.

They were still stuck in base, on Earth, but decided they wanted to try for a sparkling anyway. For the record, Wheeljack wasn't the most patient mech. He just wanted to love Magnus to the fullest.

So when they're not entirely busy, they find time to create a sparkling!

Ultra Magnus, in this case, is a carrier, and Wheeljack is the sire. They have a set of twins.

Where Wheeljack is a shorter mech, it's common that carriers of a larger class can carry multiples. Though, it's still limited to two or three bitties at once. And depending on which size class they inherited, it can influence just how long the carrying cycle will take. Both bitties will be forged the same class.

Headcanons:

• Magnus was rather surprised when he found out he was sparked. Yes, he was expecting it, but the realization finally dawned on him all at once. He was carrying. That meant it was time to stay off the field and focus on himself, which the Prime, thankfully, understood.

• Wheeljack is an absolute menace about it. He brags openly and proudly of his mate... Which, in turn, flusters the Magnus greatly. He feels appreciated and proud, but damnit, Wheeljack is the most loving and embarrassing mech he knew.

• He carried the twins in his spark and hadn't know they were twins until Ratchet further checked. Ultra had been more exhausted than he thought should've been going on with a singular growing spark. The exam proved why. It wasn't just one bittie, but two little sparks dancing around his. Ratchet immediately adjusted his dosage of supplements to consume and how often he does so.

• Wheeljack was beyond thrilled that his beautiful, amazing mate carried twins. He became far more clingy, planted kisses all over Magnus' face, and absolutely would not stop praising him. Magnus enjoyed the attention, and had never felt more loved in his time alive.

• Magnus is hormonal, but absolutely adores the fact he gets to carry. Especially with Wheeljack by his side. It's all he could ask for. Two healthy sparklings, a loving, present mate, even throughout his mood swings, Wheeljack stayed. He loved him. That's all he needed.

• During the carrying phase, he has cravings for something spicy. Rust sticks with added flavoring- usually those with imitation pepper powders like organics eat, but made safe for Cybertronian consumption.

• When it was time for the sparklings to emerge, Magnus had been a little scared. Those that emerge from the spark often take time to form into a bittie- so for a while, they would float around as sentient sparks. But once they emerged, and the mess was cleaned, it became clear they recognized their creators. They'd fly over, nuzzle against Magnus' face. And he had truly never been more proud of himself than in that moment.

• When both bitties cocooned and took their Cybertronian form, one was a femme, the other a mech. And yes, they looked mostly like Wheeljack. The femme inherited some biolights from Magnus, and the little mech inherited his mama's personality. He was stern, even as a bitlet so young.

• Both parents have never been happier... And truth told? This would be the start of the next generation. Those that would soon live on Cybertron again. They hadn't known that yet, but it was coming soon.

Optimus lived AU, because I can.

Optimus- or the now returned Orion Pax- and Magnus had a long standing relationship. How long? That is anyone's guess. Both were private with their relationship throughout the war, other than sneaky servo touches or stolen kisses.

But they settled down on the reformed Cybertron. The beauty of it was breathtaking- a planet, once deceased and extinct, breathing with life a second time. It was all the perfect conditions needed now for the next Cybertronians to walk the surface.

They decide to, finally, have their own little bitty now that it was safe.

Ultra Magnus is the carrier, Orion is the sire. They have one bitty.

After the AllSpark was returned, Orion lost his body mass, and returned to his original size. As he was really no longer a Prime, the Matrix of Leadership was removed from his handling as well. So, the sparkling will likely inherit Magnus' size class (hence why they only have one bitty).

Headcanons:

• Ultra knew he was carrying before he ever went to a medic. He felt the early signs, the sluggish behavior, the early cramps, using excessive amounts of coolant to try and balance the hot spots that kicked up over his plating.

• Orion had initially been worried about the symptoms. Truth was, he wasn't fully aware of how a carrying mech should- and will- act. He had long been a mech of war, and before that, an archivist. He wasn't around carriers often. But Magnus let him know it was okay, that this was normal, especially so early on. He had read plenty of brochures and books about new parenthood before they decided to conceive. So he knew some of what he needed to expect.

• During his carrying phase with Orion's sparkling, Ultra experienced strong cravings for sweets. Sweetened Energon was his go-to, as they could make any sort of flavoring he liked to mix into the Energon. Typically, he'd go for some creme and fruit flavors- it mimicked an organic glucose that he found he liked.

• Orion fixed a lovely bed of blankets and pillows, making Magnus a nice, soft spot to rest. Something that would allow his back a break and his feet a long rest. Both grew achy the longer Magnus carried. His abdomen was taut, hips widened, and weight gained across his frame that helped with the carrying process. It was all biological factors that came into play, yet they were so fascinating.

• As his hormones kicked in, he became more loving and clingy to his mate. Orion did not mind it whatsoever. He loved having Magnus close, talking about how much he loved him and their growing bittie. Ultra would always be delighted.

• The bitty ends up having a similar alt mode to Orion's Cybertronian alt mode. Ultra Magnus thinks it's adorable.

• Orion might've passed out while watching the delivery. But don't worry, he woke up soon after to witness their bitty enter the world, hearing their first cries.

• The bitty was a mech! While it inherited Magnus' size class, it did look a lot more like Orion, almost perfectly matching his frame color- and likely alt mode once his frame had hardened. But oh, both creators were thrilled. Orion peppered kisses all over his mate's face as Ultra held their sparkling for the first time, which ignited a bond between carrier and bitty.

• When it came time for delivery, Magnus was nervous, but excited. He would finally get to meet the bitty he was carrying for the last couple solar cycles.

PredaMags

The two met during the final years of the war, and a secret relationship blossomed between them. Magnus often visited Predaking, given the Decepticons didn't really care he was around.

It was after a long courtship that the two settled down, deciding to start a family. They had plenty of space, there was no worry about an imminent battle, and it truly was the perfect time.

Ultra Magnus is the carrier, Predaking is the sire. They have 8 bitties.

Predacon biology is different from modern Cybertronian. They are capable of producing upwards of 10-12 eggs depending on their mate. And due to the young being carried in eggs, it allows for more to be carried at once, even in Magnus' frame. So while not the full 10 or 12, 8 healthy eggs is better than anything that would hurt Magnus. 8 is roughly the amount of eggs he can comfortably carry.

Headcanons:

• Magnus had found the idea of carrying eggs interesting. He had heard not only from Predaking and his Predacons, but Starscream that carrying eggs is one of the safest means of carrying for a Cybertronian. This gave him some comfort early on that he'd be alright, and some of that anxiety lingering in his processor could be forgotten.

• The clutch was rather obvious, but followed a more organic gestation time. Close to two Earth years, from what Predaking was predicting. Then a while longer in the incubation chambers before they hatch into bitlets.

• Ultra Magnus was absolutely charmed, especially with the way Predaking treated him. The Predacon king built him a nest, admired his growing abdomen, and purred in delight every time he could. The Predacon would kiss the taunt mesh, hold his carrying mate close, and simply admire the artwork they were creating together. Magnus would always end up a blushing mess, even if he didn't try to show it.

• Magnus began craving early on. He wanted something sweet or savory. Something that he could enjoy, let it sit and melt on his glossa. Predaking found work around, fetching Energon and matter that Cybertronians could digest. And supplements provided by Knockout that made sure the eggs formed correctly. Because if anything, Decepticons know well about reproduction and what helps a carrier.

• Ultra became clingy through this second and last trimester (if you can consider it that). He wanted his mate around all the time, but knew when Predaking needed to work. But anytime the larger mech was present, Magnus was cuddling with him. And of course, Predaking was taking good care of his mate. He'd rub his aching back, pepper his face with kisses, and always fetch some warm oil for him to soak his feet in.

• When it came time for delivery, Starscream was invited in, explaining the best way for Magnus to deliver. Letting gravity work with him, not against him. Each egg was delivered healthy and safe under this guidance- and it was there the proud creators got the first look at their young. Under a light, they could see the sparks pulsing inside the eggshell, and the outline of their soon-to-be hatchlings in each egg. It was clear all the young would grow substantially now that they were outside the forge.

• The bitties all hatched healthily in their incubation pod. All were male (as most of the Cybertronian race is). Out of the 8, one was a truckling, like Magnus, the rest were little Predacons. They were very chatty bitties, chirping and peeping whenever they liked.

• Magnus and Predaking are very proud creators, and love their bitties so much. They'd do anything to protect their young- and the new generation of Predacons.
