Ingredients: 6 large potatoes, thinly sliced. 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 2 cups milk. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon paprika.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth, cooking for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Pour half of the sauce evenly over the cheese and potatoes. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cheeses, and sauce. Sprinkle paprika over the top layer. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
