Ingredients: 6 large potatoes, thinly sliced. 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 2 cups milk. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon paprika.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth, cooking for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Pour half of the sauce evenly over the cheese and potatoes. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cheeses, and sauce. Sprinkle paprika over the top layer. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown. Ingredients: 2 cups cooked macaroni noodles. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 2 cups milk. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. 8 slices of bread. Butter for spreading on bread.
Instructions: In a large saucepan, melt the 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it becomes a light golden color, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Add salt, black pepper, and paprika to the cheese sauce. Stir to combine. Add the cooked macaroni noodles to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated. Preheat a grill or stovetop griddle over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place a scoop of the mac and cheese mixture about 1/2 cup between two slices of bread with the buttered side facing out. Place the sandwiches on the grill or griddle and cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the grill, let them cool slightly, and slice in half. Serve your grilled mac and cheese sandwiches hot and enjoy!
