Another archive post for you. Remember bottled hype beers? Well here was an OG UK Whale. Beer of the day 105. @cloudwaterbrew DIPA v2, 9.6%. A great nose of mango and pineapple with hints of pine and yeasty esters pulls you into this deceptively strong beer. The first thing you get when you taste is a big hit of malts that turn your tongue into a punching bag ready for the right fist of fruity hops, more pineapple and some papaya, followed the left hook of yeasty flavours, there to tie the beer together before you're floored by an uppercut of a finish, a little boozy then dry then fruity then dry again for a long lasting finish.
