I thought maybe I’d start writing and posting about different paranormal writers, historians and paranormal and cryptid researchers. Not just past ones I want to highlight the current ones as well. . Today I’ll kick it off Gray Barker. Barker was most known for writing books and articles on UFOS. He wrote the book, “They Knew To Much About Flying Saucers. This book introduced us to The Men in Black. Then following the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant, Barker published his next book, The Silver Bridge, which popularized the Mothman legend. In 1983, he wrote MIB, The Terror Among Us, about the Men in Black.

He was a skeptic about UFOs and the paranormal, and known for some hoaxing. His sister had said he wrote those types of books just to make money.

He wrote a piece on The Flatwoods Monster sighting here’s a little excerpt from the interview with him from the Indiana Gazette a 1979 newspaper from Indiana Pennsylvania.

“In 1952 he wrote an article about the Flat-woods Monster in Braxton County, he described it as a foul-smelling thing that oozed evil and apparently landed in a bright, shiny object in the desolate area. Since then, it s been one sighting after another. Last year, he made a couple of telephone interviews after mysterious lights appeared in the skies across the state, lights seen by hundreds of residents. No satisfactory explanation was ever made. "Whatever is going on. it hasn't diminished. I think it's the attitude of the press and how much they report.'' Barker says He considers that for a moment, his eyes bulging behind thick glasses. "The government either knows what these things are and is covering it up.' he says, or they dont know, Either way. I think it's sort of alarming "

I think his legacy will be The Men in Black…
