Rewatching Pettis-Diaz. It’s really crazy how uncomfortable Pettis is fighting off the back foot. He starts off the fight circling out to the center but Diaz is able to back him up one too many times and resigns the rest of the fight to fighting off the cage. There are times when he’s able to actually break away from Nate’s clinch fighting but he’s too tired or hurt to move away from the engagement. He either retreats and throws the right hand or shells up anticipating an attack from Diaz.
