I found this New Year's postcard in a second-hand bookstore in St. Petersburg. It's a Soviet postcard from German schoolchildren to a pen pal with New Year's greetings. I learned that in Soviet times, children from the USSR studying German at school could write to schoolchildren in the DDR, and German schoolchildren could write back and also become friends. There were even these sheols where telephone lines were run from school to school so that German and Soviet grandparents could talk directly on the phone. I don't know who these Brigitte, Gerhard, and Peter are, but I'd like to know more about them. I don't know if they're still alive or if they remember what happened to them when they were schoolchildren, but I want them to see this postcard.
Help me find them or find out at least something, I will be glad to hear from anyone who responds
