1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?
Tesoro is a trans woman! She realized in her 30s. She always felt like the way she was presenting was wrong but given the constructed nature of toxic masculinity and what it means to be a socially accepted boy/man she thought the feeling of wrongness was merely that. Realizing she was a trans woman brought her great relief and it felt very right. She briefly had a phase of wearing dresses and trying to act very feminine, but quickly realized that also felt wrong and started wearing casual clothes again, tanks tops and tshirts, though she ends up switching out cargo trousers for fairly tight fitting jeans frequently. Shes more than happy to be a bit of a boring looking fat woman, and when she feels anxious about not being the right kind of woman she looks at Cherry and other women around her and goes nah im doing fine.
3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?
She saw everyone around her changing and did a lot of introspection as she didnt want to see them leave her behind as they got happier. Part of it was seeing Muro starting being more gender non-conforming and having fun with his gender presentation and seeming much happier with himself, it made her realize that being a man/male presenting doesn't have to be miserable and that some people want to be seen as men and she absolutely was not one of them. Ramettas own transition years earlier did somewhat plant the idea in her mind that you can be a trans woman but where Rametta was uncomfortable with being seen as a man, Tesoro had repressed her dysphoria and misery and thought it was just what being a man was, faking it to the end.
She knew she was attracted to men and women at a young age, and didnt really think to question it though she knew she would have to hide her attraction to men or be masculine enough to "make up" for being attracted to men
