Not really, I’m up for doing any kind of item that sparks an idea in my head. Anything from painting, paper mache, galloping around Walmart in a costume, to getting a tattoo

I’m an almost 30 year old registered nurse. I crave the creativity and excitement that Gish brings to my otherwise normal life every summer. I also work from home so I have a good bit of time. I’ve also made the GHOF and the book.

2016 - 3rd year. Leader has been gishing since 2012.

Communication, creativity. Biggest thing is positive, can-do attitude

Each Zanna strives to complete at least ten items. During the hunt, daily communication/updates are required.

Misha's Zanna is a third-year team who's had a last-minute opening, due to work issues. We're a supportive, creative, competitive, and welcoming team. We're open to both veterans and enthusiastic newbies. We do have an application but please don't be put off by that.

What type of team are you? We’re a highly competitive team formed by two former members of the retired three-time runner up team Deus Ex Mishina, and the three co-captains have a combined 32 GISH hunts under their collective belts.

On a scale of 1 (Not even a little bit) to 10 (As competitive as possible), how competitive is your team going to be? To quote Spinal Tap, the most topical of movies, this one goes to 11.

What locations are currently represented on your team? So far, we have three confirmed team members in Los Angeles & one in Minnesota, and we’re waiting on confirmation from four of our long-time GISH helpers from Melbourne, Australia! If the Melbournites cannot officially join the team, they’ll likely still help with an item or two!

How long has your team been together? This particular team was originally formed for the April 2020 Mini Hunt, however the three co-captains have GISHed together on various teams since 2013.

On a scale of 1 (Minimal, just during the hunt and only related to Gish) to 5 (Best friends forever), how would you describe your team’s familiarity with each other?  Co-Captains Sara and Cass are married, and the third Co-Captain Amaris is their housemate and the long-time partner of Sara’s brother. So, to quote Spinal Tap again… 11 :D

Is there anything in particular your team is looking for? 

We are looking for members who will give the hunt their all. We want people who can handle whatever Misha can throw at us, who look at a seemingly impossible item and think “How can I make this possible?” rather than giving up. We want members who will go above and beyond on every single item, creating beautiful photographs and videos that will garner as many bonus points as possible. We need people who are flexible, cooperative, and above all, excited to tackle this bizarre competition we’ve entered into!

What are your expectations, if any, in regards to items completed and team involvement during the hunt? We expect any team members to remain in frequent contact through the channels of communication that we set up – specifically, we use Slack and Trello to keep the team organized, and to ensure that nobody gets left behind. We also expect that team members will do their best to submit the most visually creative version of every item they work on.

On a scale of 1 (Very little) to 5 (As much as possible) How much of the hunt week do you expect team members to commit to Gish?  We are going all out. GISH, eat, sleep, repeat. That said, while we don’t expect everyone to be as ridiculous as we are, we do expect that if you’re on a competitive team, you’ll be able to dedicate at least a few hours to the hunt every day.

How many spots are you looking to fill? We’re currently looking for five new team members, however we may have space for a few more depending on whether our Melbourne friends are able to join. If there are any competitive GISHers who need help with registration, Co-Captain Cass is able to help with the sign up cost for two people!

Are you open to merging teams if needed? Maybe! We’ll review this on the last day of registrations, and it will depend on our numbers at that stage :)

We’re looking for folks with the experience and skills to be part of a winning team -- and who also value transparency, kindness, and democratic decision-making.

Expectation of 7% minimum (about 12 individual and 5 group items) + team meetings + handbook + mission, vision, values alignment

What are some of your hobbies/talents?

I can sing and play uke, read, and also I volunteer at a church and have a youth group I run. That's pretty much it.
