Characterization and Enneagram Type 9: The Pacifist
The Enneagram of Personality is a tool that categorizes human behavior into nine types based on motivations, fears, and desires.
This is also a useful tool for characterization, mapping your characters into one of the Enneagram types to further flesh them out.
Type 9 is formally known as The Peacemaker.

Background:
Grew up in an environment where they had to give in to others to avoid conflict. Believing that to survive, they must placate others.
Personality:
Passive, pushover, patient. Resigned to their lot in life
Positive Arc:
Learns to stop avoiding conflict, to stand up for themselves, and to take control of their own life. Goes from a passive character in their story to a proactive character.
Negative Arc:
Losing someone or something they love because they failed to assert themselves or take necessary action. Their passive nature leads to the erosion of their own desires and dreams.
