I'm talking about the canon ships here but if you want to use any neutral ones for headcanonned ships or self shipping then go ahead :)

Pet name headcanons are always super controversial so these are just my opinions guys pls </3 but pls let me know ur own ideas too :)

Tyler - He uses a lot of "Saeds", to be honest. Neither of them are big pet name people, but I think when she's being very sharp or combative he'll throw a "princess" in there just to tease. But I also think that once they're both much older he will very occasionally call her his queen :') idc if that's cheesy i think it's sweet

Scarlett - Loves pet names. She uses a lot of "babe", "darling", and "sweetie". But she also likes to make overdramatic, unnecessary ones for fun. Fin will go to another room and she'll be like "Be back soon, sweet pumpkin cake of my heart!" Fin thinks it's ridiculous (especially because he doesn't know what a pumpkin is) but quite cute.

Cat - I think if she was ever in a relationship, she would use a lot of affectionate insults. "Asshole" would be frequent, but said very gently. She would probably shorten names (She said a lot of "Ty" :( ). I think she's also a babe user.

Finian - He's a very straightforward guy, so he doesn't immediately grasp Terran pet names, but he warms up to them quickly with how much Scar likes them. He calls her "sweetheart" quite a lot I think, but he prefers to just say her name when around a lot of people. Also likes "darling" - I don't think he knew the word before Scarlett but finds it very sweet. Also calls her Betraskan pet names a lot too <3

Auri - For Kal she almost always sticks to "love" or "my love", because after the whole finale thing I think that's truly the only thing she finds fully fitting. In very very quiet and gentle moments I think she also calls him Kaliis instead of Kal :( I think once she truly learns Syldrathi culture a bit more she will occasionally call him Be'shmai too, which will make me emotional btw

Kal - I mean gee i wonder what it'll be. I don't think he ever calls her anything other than Be'shmai, honestly. Much like Auri he just doesn't think anything else really fits, and it's very important to his people and stuff too of course. He also will just say Aurora, he loves the way her name sounds

Zila - Very logical, very practical. Not a fan of pet names, (although she loves when Nari calls her them) but she will add "my" in front of Nari's name <3 like saying "My Nari" instead of just her name. I also think when she's a lot older she'll just say "wife" when she being funny, very deadpan. Like "wife, can you come here please?" From the other room. It make Nari giggle :)

Syldrathi live to be around 400 years, and humans nowadays (with modern medicine) let’s say around 90 years, so there, they surely have a life expectancy of 100 years. The average man gets his first child at the age of 35 (Germany, 2024), it’s not likely that this tendency changed that much (people getting older when they have their first baby).

-> They are basically teen parents!!!

Plus, Tyler as well as Saedii are both perfectionist and workaholics (at least heavily implied), no way THEY intended to have a child DURING A WAR.
