if i were to redraw my first tycutio piece i honestly wouldn't because 1) i think tybalt would be rolling his sleeves up (why-i-oughta style) or taking off his jacket instead of palming his fist, because that move is the cliché american high school bully's go-to and i see tybalt as more of the proper english type nowadays, he avoids as much damage to his clothing as he can. 2) the palming of the fist suggests he's initiating this attack, but he's less of a monty-hunter now and more of a stray cat that evades at first instinct, attacks as a last resort. and 3) i don't think mercutio would disrespect tybalt in such a way to overstep his physical boundaries and grab his face like that. there's still a part of him that's considerate of his ex-friend's prickly nature. his method is more along the lines of getting under the other's skin with words and feigning innocence when it inevitably escalates to fisticuffs to explain that he didn't really start the fight! he's just a silly guy!
but that's specific to their dynamic here. if you find this to be a bastardization of their characters and shakespeare counterparts, particularly tybalt's, then one i don't care and two i see his dynamic with romeo much closer to the original, where he honestly would be the aggressor because he sees romeo as an active threat to his family's livelihood. mercutio is just a bothersome fly in his ear with a lot of homoerotic tension and emotional baggage on top of all that. but that's his own problem to deal with.
