The Txranti don’t practice a set religion, they also haven’t followed Eywa for 40 years since the RDA wiped out half their clan and spirit tree. With Eywa not coming to their aid, they banished her and any deity from their ideology. But it is obviously flawed as members are punished more severely if something is considered traitorous. Narayms older sister, Yenil is proof of this.
Yenil attempted to murder their Olo'eyktan in his sleep but was chased away when the Tsahìk came to his aid and sent her followers after her. Yenil fled and joined another clan, possibly the Mangkwan. Naraym was left to deal with her consequences, being shunned and forced to endure physical and psychological torture as a way to amend. She proved to be devastatingly loyal and endured even the cruelest tests, she was gifted her own hunting party at 14 by the Tsahìk and she chose Naraym’s followers.
Although this was by the new Tsahik as Naraym had killed the old one during her final test, the old one was believed to be leading the clan poorly and giving no solution except that is was Eywa’s evil doing. They basically had an older and lacking version of Varang, Naraym disposed of her quickly. The new Tsahik Seylu is younger than Naraym being 13 years old and leading for three years prior to the second movie. She improved their conditions and advised cannibalism, Seylu is beloved by her people. She has disregarded and encouraged new rules and practices, which meant going to other clans and offering protection for resources, few becoming bounty hunters as they value getting their hands dirty. This is how Naraym met her girlfriend Imeyi from the Kame’tire clan.
Naraym is very close to Seylu, being her messenger of death. She is able to communicate with spirits through through rituals. If anyone was to interrupt the communication, they would be hung by their feet on the outskirts of their territory and left to die.
There used to be a clan of the Ut’olu people, they followed their own deity which was a Na’vi man born with a facial deformity that made him appear with bigger eyes and a flatter nose. He was their Olo’eyktan, he essentially forced his followers to believe he was better than Eywa without improving his clan and resources.
The Txranti had his torso hung from a tree in due to him ordering his followers to punish a Txranti for stealing from the Ut’olu. The Txranti found this offensive as they are strict with dealing with their own and refuse outside opinions. Although the Txranti had the thief murdered for their carelessness, they made an example out of the Ut’olu. Whoever remained was absorbed into the clan, which was mostly children and innocents that did not follow their false deity.
I’m in the middle of my third fic and realized I need to give my characters full names. So tada
Mezem te Tsal Yesang’ite
Tar’em te Tsal Yesang’itan
Naraym te Ahani Eytul’ite
Te’ung te Poruk Emtul’ite
I don’t know if they’re accurate to the Na’vi language but they ain’t canon so idc I like them
I haven’t given Imeyi nor Vaal full names yet but I might not as their full names won’t be mentioned in future fics. They will have more character than the ones with names as I don’t want them to be forgotten background characters, they are not the main but still important.
I saw this person on tiktok with the best double Mohawk ever so I’m making it canon that Mez has a double Mohawk with rat tails. Keeping the punk agenda alive in my characters even if I’m not anymore
The Txranti is inspired by multiple Asian cultures, mostly south Asian and Arabian countries.
Seylu, the Tsahik is depicted with multiple arms similar to the God Vishnu, which coincidentally is also named Narayana. Which is similar to Naraym, I was truthfully unaware of this but I thought it was a fun note. She is also inspired by Shiva for having a third eye depiction, most Txranti have a tattoo upon their forehead or hands to imitate this third eye, believing they too have turn their enemies to ‘dust’ which to them is simply defeating them.
Naraym originally was inspired by Enchantress from Suicide Squad, but I am handing that over to Seylu given her status. Someone on tiktok also said Naraym resembled a Pharaoh, so I implemented more Egyptian cultures. Mez’s direhorse mask is meant to resemble Anubis.
The Txranti adore jewellery and accessories, being decked out in various bracelets, neck rings and bone armour. During a spiritual ceremony, Naraym being the messenger of death. Members will perform a celebration, filled with synchronised dances and music. A sacrifice will be made, one member being chosen to leave the living world and be honoured as the clan reconnects with their ancestors. It is a huge privilege to be chosen, the chosen Na’vi will be covered in jewellery and drenched with blood before being set on fire as a way to cleanse them before joining the spirits.
Seylu is seen as an equal among her followers, performing in these rituals and helping with tasks leading up to them. She is valued as a leader, not a replacement goddess.
The Txranti are painted to resemble statues, their masks and head covers obscuring their identities. They are able to stand incredibly still, even for hours on end. Being excellent stalkers, they lure their victims in by camouflaging in with their surroundings and pretending to be statues to lower their guard before ambushing their victims.

This is a vague idea of their vibe and aesthetic, a lot will be altered and nothing is set. But I wanted to give readers such vision and inspiration
The Txranti are quite uncanny to other Na’vi, similar to Varang. Txranti have a distinct between wide set eyes and close set eyes. Older members have wider set given their previous environment while younger members who have adapted have almost human like eyes as they are less wide and their noses are smaller. Naraym is the extreme of this, thin eyes and a thin nose that are too close together, her face is extremely round and her ears are larger similar to a bat. She also possesses a double set of canines to help grind her food as materials are scarce and vegetation is rare. And Na’vi flesh isn’t exactly soft
Warnings: Underage drug use(Na’vi weed) Flirting, implied romance and implied hookup
‘Asong and Tsawa had sat amongst their peers in a circle, a fire burning bright in the centre of camp as they surround it.
A long stick had been passed around, it contained some kind of plant mixture they had gathered that morning. The pipe helped inhale the fumes it had drizzled in slow waves up to the night sky.
The air had been cold enough to send a few of their companions running back underground, but Tsawa, ‘Asong and the stragglers stayed behind to finish what was left of the plant blend.
Tsawa had been new to this, being curious since she was a young girl still trying to find her place amongst the Clan. But now she sat in front of the fire, her fingers tingling while the space behind her eyes buzzed like static. She had been nervous to even stay after she had coughed her lungs out in front of her fellow Na'vi.
‘Asong had been watching her since she sat down, their eyes meeting any time she would dare move her eyes away from the fire or her lap.
It was strange seeing her be so...estranged.
Tsawa was distant, she never let anyone beside the party get past the walls she had put up since she been overpowered years ago. But she was almost...meek. Not commanding, fearsome.
They had been fine days prior, they had even been exchanging looks and subtle teasing. But then Tsawa had turned icy, huffing at him the last time they talked.
He had took the empty space beside her, providing a familiar presence to ground her at least. He took the pipe out her hand before she could have another drag, his fingers brushing against hers slowly, touching her longer than necessary. "You've been avoiding me."
He brought the pipe to his lips and inhaled deep, cold dizzying air flushed his lungs. She dared sneaking a glance his way as she signed, the motions more stiff. "I am not. I am busy, I have duties beside flirting with you. Like finding a real mate." His fingers quickly found their way to Tsawa chin, urging her closer as the pipe fell between them. She didn't resist as he leaned and drew the distance to a mere centimetre. Her lips parted in surprise, curiosity left her stunned and open to ‘Asong advances.
He blew smoke into her awaiting mouth, the herb softer on her tongue compared to her earlier attempt. She inhaled it without complaint, appreciating the immediate buzz it gave her as the light from the fire illuminating their surroundings weaved into swirls, the orange hue blending into different shades of purple and red.
‘Asong didn't remove his hand from her jaw, instead gently holding it as he hovered inches from her face. Her dilated pupils drew him in, hypnotising him. "Despite your lies, you seem to only weave your days into mine." He whispered, breath warming the cold air. "Your eyes follow me everywhere I go."
Tsawa turned her nose up, pushing his hand from her chin. "I do not stare-" She began to sign until she cut herself off. A voice whispered in her ear, she was tempted to look for the source until the voice warped and echoed in her mind. ‘Asong took another hit of the pipe as the same whispers danced through the air between them.
"Despite the lies that you're making." ‘Asong began, taking her chin between his fingers once again. "Your love is mine for the taking." He murmured into her agape mouth until his own lips met hers in a gentle stroke.
Tsawa cupped his face with her hand, her body seemed to allow her desires to breathe. Her lungs burned as she kissed ‘Asong, a heavy gasp falling when they parted. She pressed her forehead against his, skin hot.
"I will be the one that's gonna hold you." His fingers dragged along her arm, revealing his true feelings for her. As cold hearted as she was, he was there for her to fall back on. He could provide her comfort without the fear of vulnerability. She inhaled deeply as she looked into his eyes once more. "You will be the one I run to." Her hands signed, one landing on his chest in reassurance.
She meant it.
The next day was heavy with tension, they hadn't talked since Tsawa lured him back underground. Curtains drawn and lines blurred, they felt like real teenagers for once. Not warriors. Just two Na'vi.
‘Asong had approached her with the skull of a viper wolf, it was the first kill they had made together when they were kids. Way back before the group formed, before Seylu was appointed Tsahik. "You'll never be alone. When darkness comes, I'll light the sky with stars." She accepted the gift with a wary glance, but as she turned away ‘Asong could see the faintest glimpse of a smile. He knew he had won her over before she knew it.
