(Episode 3.22: Quagmire)

I love this episode because I have a weird fascination with sea monster lore. Especially the Loch Ness monster.

Mulder wants to hunt aquatic cryptids. (Same.)

Specifically a lake monster called Big Blue.

Scully (and Queequeg) join him unenthusiastically.

Bodies turn up mutilated. Mulder’s like a kid in a candy store. He wants Big Blue to be real so badly.

Somehow Mulder convinces Scully to search for Big Blue in the middle of the night. They end up stranded on a rock in the middle of the lake.

Mulder brings up cannibalism. What a charmer. Cue the famous Conversation on the Rock.

Keep believing Mulder. (Look at his sweet smile.)

RIP to the real MVP of this episode.

(Episode 3.20: Jose Chung’s From Other Space)

Here’s one I’ve been looking forward to. This episode makes me feel like I’ve taken mushrooms. But I’d expect nothing less from Darin Morgan. I’m just going to touch on some highlights. 👽🛸

David Duchovny’s performance here is ICONIC.

Same old story: Mulder suspects alien activity, Scully, among others, think he’s bleeping nuts.

He is undeterred. A bleeping dead alien turns up. His reaction to it is as normal as he is.

Mulder gets peckish for some sweet potato pie and strikes up a conversation with a local diner cook.

He asks a few standard questions. Nothing weird or unhinged or anything. He also eats a normal amount of sweet potato pie. As normal as he is.

Mulder finishes up the case and concludes the episode by jerking it to Bigfoot. As one does.

(Episode 3.17: Pusher)

And it’s a Vince Gilligan episode! About mind control. And guess what? Mulder is hot in it.

We love to see it. (And by “it” I mean HIM.)

There’s a very good chance I’m too deliriously exhausted today to actually be funny. But just look how pretty he is.

American Heathcliff, brooding and comely. And as we’ve previously established: fine as hell.

Puppy dog face. 🥹

Puppy dog gets mind controlled into risking his life. And also Scully’s. We hate to see it. But then he shoots the bad guy instead. Phew.

I just love David’s performance in this episode.

(Episode 3.14: Grotesque)

Where to begin? Perhaps with Mulder looking fine as hell?

Here we see him lounging whorishly. Good times.

Mulder gets chewed out by a former instructor from Quantico. (It’s the dad from That 70’s Show.)

Look at this puppy dog. He’s such a good boy. 🐶 Why his old instructor gotta be such a dick to him?

He gets his pretty face all scratched up. Poor baby. (But don’t worry, he still looks fine as hell.) Turns out the old instructor was possessed or something.

(Episode 3.13: Syzygy)

Happy 4th if you’re in the U.S.! Baby Ryan Reynolds is in this one (for about 5 seconds). Let’s go!

It’s a Satanic Panic episode! Always fun. But we do encounter jealous Scully and I really don’t like that.

Scully keeps raining on the local the detective’s parade by shutting down the Satanic Panic.

Scully is jealous of Det. White. I wish she wasn’t.

Detective White shows up at Mulder’s motel room. He’s he’s also been drinking. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Mulder looks hot. Which is nothing new. ✌️💋

Det. White jumps him. Tbh who could blame her?

Mulder learns about the Cosmic G-spot. 🪐

Mulder continues to be pretty. Surprise, surprise.

Sigh. Help! I love him.

(Episode 3.12: War of the Coprophages)

Okay, so here’s the deal: I. Fucking. Hate. Bugs.

But I love Darin Morgan. And I obviously LOVE Fox Mulder. And David Duchovny. So here we go!

Mulder is investigating a town where people keep dying of killer roach attacks. Gross. He also meets up with an attractive entomologist named Bambi.

I’m cackling. Look at his eyes dip down and back up. All while discussing killer cockroaches. Smooth operator over here.

HIS FUCKING FACE. I CAN’T.

More gross roach attacks. But Mulder takes his shirt off so it isn’t ALL bad.

Mulder and Bambi investigate a well-hung cockroach. You know, normal stuff.

Mulder keeps picking up cockroaches. I hate it.

Mulder and Scully wind up covered in literal shit.

Mulder types up his cerebral and eloquent field report about killer cockroaches. As one does.

(Episode 3.11: Revelations)

I don’t know how much into the plot I’m going to get on this one. Let’s just say I have a complicated relationship with religion. But this episode does have some amazing Mulder moments.

Starting with this unhinged and iconic behavior at a crime scene. WTF, Mulder. (It’s okay I still love him.)

Not me getting turned on at (checks notes) the morgue. (Jfc he’s beautiful. Like it’s distracting. And look at his beautiful nose.) I need him biblically.

I’ll draw you a bath. Look at those big puppy dog eyes. I want to jump his bones.
