Just your routine reminder that the Rose fandom is much bigger than Tenrose. Most of us are not Tenrose only. Even those who donât ship every Doctor with Rose usually ship at least one other Doctor with her besides Ten. And the entire Doctorrose ship is still the biggest ship in the whole Whoniverse, including spin offs. Itâs also top 100 ships of all time when the entire ship is included.
Top is from September 12. Bottom is from now (December 18th).

Rules, other information, and the prompts written out below the cut
Rules & other information
This is a classicrose week, so sorry nuwho Doctors, no time for you here! You can do onerose, tworose, threerose, fourrose, fiverose, sixrose, sevenrose, eightrose, and for ease (on my part) warrose. The focus should stay on one (or more) of those ships.
NSFW works are welcome, just tag everything correctly on ao3 and hide anything explicit under a cut on tumblr
This is not fanfic exclusive, any form of work is welcome. If you think it suits the prompt go for it, there are no limits with classicrose love
Alt prompts can be used in place of one of the main ones, in combination with main prompts, or done separately. They can be used as many times as you like (though maybe don't do seven different alt 1s unless you're like really dedicated to soulmate aus)
Use tags Crose week or Crose week 25 on tumblr
If posting to ao3 add it to the collection Classicrose Week
You don't have to do everyday if you don't want to. If you wanted, you could do just Day 4 and leave it at that
Late entries are more than welcome, you could do this event in three years time and (as long as I'm still active) it'll get the exact same treatment as all the other entries so go ahead and tag me in those too
I will be rebloging entries! To make this easier for me please tag me

Summary:
Rose Tyler was nineteen, and she was going nowhere. She had a job, a healthy relationship with her boyfriend, and a safe place for a home. But she wanted more. She wanted to travel, to see and change the world, she just didnât expect it to come in the form of a stone angle, a big blue box, and an old man who runs from his problems.
Written for @doctorroseprompts, a mix of the Neighbour!Two AU and Musicians!AU. Â (Human!AU).
Music was something to be enjoyed. Â A catchy pop song playing on the radio or bad karaoke at the pub. Â Music was not what woke one up at six in the morning, a tinny recorder coming from the flat upstairs. Â Rose was no stranger to practicing music, having been an off-again, on-again backup singer in her exâs band. Â But that was music. Â Guitars and drums and singing. Â Music.
Rose rolled over, pulling her pillow over her head. Her neighbour continued to play, and she knew that he would not stop for at least an hour. Â Sometimes, she wondered whether he knew that someone lived downstairs. Â Sometimes, she wondered if the recorder was a real instrument. Â Occasionally, he was joined by another on bagpipes. Â Always, at six oâclock in the morning.
Exactly thirty minutes later, her alarm clock rang. Why she always set her alarm clock when her neighbour would be practicing a half hour before that was a mystery, even to herself. Â Sighing, Rose finally got up, keeping her comforter draped securely over her body, heading for the loo.
Seven oâclock came and went, and Rose was heading out the door for work. Â She told herself she was lucky to have this job as a teaching assistant at the primary school, but that didnât make it any easier to dredge herself out of bed in the morning. Â Her mother had forwarded her a letter from Tonyâs teachers, who had been looking for a TA for the younger grade. Â Rose helped in the art classes. Â Art had been one of the things that she had been good at in school, before sheâd left. Art, and PE; maths and science had never held her interest.
âOh, yes, so sorry. Â Do excuse me, Iâm trying to find the music room.â Â A man, holding a recorder ploughed straight into Rose as she entered the school. Â âItâs my first day, and Iâve already been by the office twice,â he admitted.
âItâs right across the art room. Â Iâm heading that way myself, Iâm the TA. Â Rose Tyler,â she extended her hand.
âJohn Smith,â he shifted a narrow velvety bag to his left hand and took hers. Â âMusic.â
Roseâs eyes were on the bag. Â âIs that a recorder?â
âOh, er, yes. Â Iâve been trying to teach myself before I had to teach these kids. Â Iâm afraid my neighbours must think Iâm crazy, practicing away before school starts. Â Iâve a friend who plays the bagpipes, actually, and heâs been trying to help me learn music properly.â Â John admitted.
âThis is the art room. Â Music is just at the end of the corridor, on the left.â Â Roseâs hand hovered over the handle. Â It was only eight. Â The first art class wasnât until nine. Â âWhen do your classes start?â
âNine, I believe.â Â John dumped his bag on the desk at the front of the room, rifling through papers. Â âAha,â he muttered, pulling out a sheet. Â âMusic. Â Year fours. Oh, my giddy aunt. Â Never thought Iâd end up in here.â
âGood luck. Â Year fours this year are quite a handful. Â Though I should say that Year sixes are also not the best students at the moment, what with the SATs next month.â Â Rose relayed some stories about the students in her classes. Â âBut donât let this go to your head, yeah? Â Let them have a chance to present themselves.â
âThank you, Miss Tyler.â Â John looked to the clock. Â âI really should organize these papers. Â I suppose that I should be somewhat organized when I meet the students.â
âSorting the music?â Â Rose asked curiously. Â At Johnâs nod, she continued: âI used to sing in a band, never learned how to read music, though.â
âAnyone famous?â Â John asked, starting to sort through the music.
âNah,â Rose scoffed. Â âex-boyfriend, some sorta screamo or emo or I donât really know. Â My voice didnât really fit in with the band, only filled in a couplâa times. Â If you donât play the recorder, what is your instrument, music teacher?â
âFlute,â Johnâs eyes lit up. Â âItâs related to the recorder, of course, but the mouthpiece is completely different. Â Itâs also much easier to achieve quality tone.â Â He went on, comparing the two instruments. Â Rose lingered, listening to his descriptions with interest, though she wasnât interested in the flute. Â Or the recorder. Â At Johnâs request, she deposited one copy of each piece onto the music stands while he got out the classâs set of recorders.
âJust look at the state of these. Â Itâs no wonder the students are very good,â he moaned, appraising the instruments.
âNot very good quality?â Â Rose surmised. Â She stifled a laugh at Johnâs grimace. Â âI know the feeling. Â You should see the condition of the art supplies. Â Brushes with bent bristles, the easels have pen marks all over them, half the paint is dried out because nobody ever replaces the lids when theyâve finished.â She glanced at the clock, starting with surprise. Â âWell, I suppose that time flies when youâre having fun. Â That or your classroom is actually a sort of time machine into the future.â Â Rose laughed gently.
âWish me luck?â Â John smiled hopefully.
âGood luck,â Rose said, not bothering to contain a grin. âYouâll need it,â she added, already halfway down the corridor.
