How about TeleTwinTuesday? 😆 . In all the excitement of getting the new #Thinline the other day, I almost forgot that I also got my 1988 #RedKnob #FenderTwin back from servicing! . My amp tech @marshalllespaulfan did his usual excellent job of getting it back into shape after more than a decade of total hibernation in my basement. It's never a good idea to power up a #vintageamp after many years of dormancy. Things can literally explode! Always best to have a pro service it first. . I can now report two things: 1) that I have tried the "Low" setting, which cuts the voltage to the power tubes and reduces the output from 100 watts to 25, and 2) I am a bit disappointed to report it's still waaaay too f*cking loud! 😳 I was kind of hoping that switch was the answer to my prayers to bring this powerful beast under control volume-wise, but alas no...it's still far too loud for home use. Although if anyone has any stadium gigs coming up I can lend it to you in exchange for letting me take pictures of your #guitarcollection! 😄 .
