But most of the time all they do is find the same game that every other streamer is playing and saturate the search results with absolutely nothing content. Most of them dont give even a nineteenth of a shit about the games they play, so they actually pay zero attention to them, which is why half of the time its them calling “plot hole” when if they had just payed even the slightest bit of attention they would know it isnt. They almost never say anything about the actual game theyre playing and just make it all about a personality they dont have. And the transition from timed lets plays to streams has made it so that there are then eleven hours of consecutive recording in which they are obviously exhausted so they cant actually come up with anything entertaining to say so they just go “Oh”, “interesting” “Oh thats crazy” and yell in an endless loop.

They take over the actual fandom of the games they play and its incredibly annoying. Subnautica is notoriously a victim of this, since most of the tags are taken up by streamers and other people using it as an AU for other fandoms. Fear and Hunger is going through this as well, although only the former, thankfully. And it dosent affect it on AO3.
