I ain’t real good at letters. Never have been. Feels kinda strange, sittin’ here with a pen instead of doin’ something useful, but… you’ve got a way of makin’ me do things I wouldn’t normally try. So I’m tryin’.

Life’s been quiet lately. Not the bad kind of quiet—just the kind where the mornings come soft, and there’s time to drink coffee before it goes cold. I find myself thinkin’ about you in those moments. How you move around the place like you belong there. Like you always have. Makes things feel… steady. Makes me feel steady.

I don’t say much. You know that. But when you’re around, I don’t feel like I gotta fill the silence. We can just sit there, shoulder to shoulder, listenin’ to the world do its thing. That’s somethin’ I didn’t know I needed. Somethin’ I don’t wanna lose.

You make the small stuff matter. Fixing the fence together. Laughin’ when it comes out crooked anyway. Sharing a meal that ain’t fancy but tastes better ‘cause you’re across from me. It’s funny—after everything, it’s this life I want. The simple one. With you in it.

I ain’t promise-perfect. Never gonna be the guy with the right words at the right time. But I’ll show up. Every day. I’ll keep watch when you’re sleepin’. I’ll make sure you’re warm when it gets cold. And when things get heavy, I’ll be right there, even if all I’ve got is my hand to hold yours.

Guess what I’m tryin’ to say is… I love you. In the quiet moments. In the ordinary days. In the life we’re buildin’, piece by piece.
