my tank has detritus worms💔
they definitely came in from my shrimp and I'm only now just seeing them
for those that don't know detritus worms are very common in tanks and good as they clean the tank by eating anything my shrimp don't
the thing is that there worms... I don't do worms
I'm not gonna fully get rid of them but im doing things to make them less noticeable!
i shall be cleaning the sides of the tank when I see quite a few of there eggs gathering up to stop them from hatching
and i shall be getting a aquarium vacuum to clean the substrate and remove some of the worms
as well as spot clean more to have less debris in there for them to eat
hopefully doing this will control them well enough!
I don't like worms
Today outside my house my dad lifted a bag with a plant in it, and it revealed a bunch of worms. I felt bad for them since they were on the asphalt and it was hot out, so I grabbed a cup of water to moisturize them till my dad finished with work and could save them. Bonus! I got to pick up a millipede and put em back in the grass!
Fun fact! I learned apparently millipedes can secrete a chemical that irritates human skin!
