Imagine being David Perry in that moment. Imagine having a suicide bomber sat in your taxi and figuring it out outside the hospital and imagine the fucking guts and bravery it must have took him to lock the fucking doors and say ‘no. you’re not hurting them’.

sometimes i remember how it felt to watch people being murdered on tv. i still remember watching the charlie ebdouh attack and the christmass market attack and the manchester attack and the Charlottesville attack and i still remember the day we were all put back into lockdown. i still remember the day my school was nearly shot up amd i still remember when the older boy who used to take care of me im school killed himself and i still remember when my friend im 1st grade was killed by her father and i still remember not going to my grandmothers funeral. i still remember the secetarian violence that happened in my home country and the 3500 people who were killed and i still remember learning about all the dead babys that the nuns let die and hid under the ground. i still remember the heroin epidemic. i still remember.

Still wary about the fact that there are still no further information or any developed reports about the possible terrorist attack here in SEA. I hope any official, if not the Japanese Foreign Embassy themselves, will clarify and update people about it. Or much better to hope this threat wouldn’t ever happen at all.

as the news rolls out about the new lynn mall terror attack in auckland, i just want to say that we can and should keep the victims in our thoughts + support our migrant, muslim and communities of colour who may face prejudice and racism in the backlash. condemn individual actions, protect innocent and vulnerable people, and show love and solidarity in the wake of a tragedy.
