It's been more than a day and I am still in shock of what extremist motives can make a human do. And still, I am also wondering, how things like this could even happen? It's not the first time a terrorist used a vehicle as a weapon -no matter if it was because of a queerphobic motive or something else- and it won't be the last. When will our politicians stop only speaking sorry words and finally start acting? When will they stop using these horrible events as an excuse for their conservative, discriminative and racist opinions and start working on the real problems? Do they even see the difference between Islam and Islamist? It doesn't seem like they do... This government has failed to protect peaceful, democratic minorities once again. It has let an openly member of the IS who was already "known to the police" walk freely in this country... once again. When will they finally stop protecting fucking perpetrators???

Berlin, my heart is with you and everyone affected by this terrible event. There are no words to describe the shock and sadness and... rage... I'm feeling with you. I can't even imagine how it must feel to be so close to such an event.

But we will not get silenced. Our community stands together and together we are stronger. Always. We will grieve together and then we will fight together. We will show them that Love. Always. Wins.

I am still going to my local CSD in two weeks. No matter what.

I'm lost for words, even in English. They say it's easier to write or speak about emotional events in another language, but somehow I can't.

terroristic attack at a pride event and nobody cares about the victims. just us dirty fucking leftists letting in muslims and bringing this upon ourselves (exact wording. thousands of comments with too many likes under every post. im not exaggerating). germany is not a safe place. when you get murdered at a queer event it's your fault now, apparently. and nobody cares about you. they just care about slinging shit around hiding behind Islamophobia while pretending to give a shit about queers. And people will follow and vote far right.

This country will go full right and you can't change my mind. In multiple states the far right already has won, and it won't be long until it becomes my state.

Since I can't leave this country to pave a better future for myself, I think I'll just go. Go somewhere where I am ultimately safe. 6 feet under, shielded by cold dirt.

Hey fuckface and others with similar beliefs, a facility with preschool children were attacked just this fucking week, by someone slamming a truck full of explosives into the building with express intentions to kill those kids. Children who are in fucking PRESCHOOL. Barely older than BABIES. And none of you said anything because those kids are Jews.

Instead, there are comments on news reports calling this attack, this terror, this horrifying event a fucking conspiracy. A mossad propaganda to fuel conflict. A FUCKING RETALIATION AS IF PLANNING TO BLOW UP A BUNCH OF AMERICAN JEWISH CHILDREN ARE HELPING ANYONE.

You people are fucking sick. Those are CHILDREN. Scared and traumatized that they would be killed because they're Jews, and you don't give a shit about them. Shut the fuck up about everything from now on, because you. Don't. Fucking. Care.

My heart goes out to all of the families who are affected by this. Respect to the security guard who protected these kids. And please, prioritize love and peace before anything else.

Syscourse-shmiscourse recently made a post in the #syscourse, #CDD community and #pluralgang tags encouraging people in a community made up largely of trauma survivors to "go watch the people leaping out of the 20th story (of the twin towers) so they don't burn to death."

Please mind your mental health and do not do that.

I am sorry that somebody is making their "trauma" from seeing videos from the safety of their school of a 25-year-old incident that killed 1/25th of the number of people who have been massacred in Gaza out to be everyone else's problem.
