I'm sleeping over at my best friends house this weekend and he was venting to me about missing his ex (who is a horrible guy) and other public school drama and i was listening and after he was done I made a little joke "at least we suffer together". and this man has the deadass (lighthearted) reaction of "who are YOU mourning??".

fucking jackshit. my dog? you know, the man i'm ACTUALLY mourning? my childhood pet that we had to put down not a month ago? dipass has the fucking audacity to genuinely, if "jokingly", ask who im mourning. like he was mourning someone and I wasn't. bro you're missing an ex. I know I know you feel soooo bad when you don't have a partner and i feel bad for you yeah but respectfully he needs to learn to be okay without a partner anyways. the fucking degree this man is hyped up on romance and sex is unhealthy, he has to CONSTANTLY like someone. its destroyed multiple good friendships he had. and yeah its on the fault of all the people who lied to him about feeling the same way too but... its him too. he's PART OF THE DAMN PROBLEM, MAYBE THE CATALYST FOR THE SITUATIONS THAT ENABLE IT??? TAKE A BREAK, MAN, YOU'LL BE FINE. im sorry for the rant but like. the fucking audacity to say he's been mourning and I haven't is crazy when he's having middle school drama over his twenty forth partner and i've been spiraling downhill so hard I've been neglecting school, self care, and letting unfinished food rot and mold in my room for weeks now. not to mention the self-isolation i'm TRYING to break out of by hanging out with him; you know, the whole reason for me visiting, me doing bad? the fucking audacity. and then i reminded him and he just went "I FORGOT🤣🤣🤣" like it was funny. the fucking audacity to forget your best friend is struggling when its the whole reason he came over.

and I already told him it wasn't a cool joke. and that it upset me. and he apologized, sincerely. he's a good friend, don't let a vent post warp your perception of a person you dont know personally. I didn't say all the harsh things I said here to him. and the harsh things here were likely exaggerated by me being upset. but. God I Wish I Was Better At Saying Them.

i don't want to bring it up again because he already apologized and theres nothing he can do further but i'm still upset about it. but i've already had that conversation with him.
