request: nope, this is just a story idea that popped into my head (:
A/N: I will probably make this story be broken down into three parts to help it flow better. I really hope you guys enjoy this! I will also post the link I created for the prologue to the story as well.Â
Warnings: slight depression and death?
As Liam walked into his second period class he notices the new girl sitting in the paired desk with him. She was what Liam would consider beautiful with her curly blonde hair and sea green eyes. She simply wore an “Expect the Unexpected” black t-shirt, with ripped skinny jeans, Sperry’s and little red bow clipped to the back of her hair. She had a slightly familiar aspect to her rose petal scent that the now Junior could not place. Mason looked over with a knowing smirk noticing the slight blush that had crept up on Liam’s cheeks. Liam sat down immediately as Mr. Yukimura walked into the classroom. “Ah, I see we have a new student here with us today. Why don’t you stand up and introduce yourself Ms. Ross.”
“I’d love to.” She says standing up. “I was born in Louisiana but all my family, or what’s left of it, is from Beacon Hills. My favorite color is red, I live with my grandparents, my life kinda sucks, oh but I love dogs.” She smirked looking over at Liam before returning to her seat not glancing back at him. That’s when his previous thought hit him. There was a reason the scent was so familiar, how could he have missed it?
“Werewolf.” He breathed before looking towards Kaitlyn.
Liam sat uncomfortably for 90 minutes waiting for the bell to ring signaling that the period is over. His eyes were glued to the clock until he felt someone’s eyes on him. He knew it was her and he refused to avert his gaze away from the clock.
“Hey, do you know what time this class ends?” She questioned making Liam lose his gaze on the clock.
“10:30.” He says  looking anywhere but her eyes.
“Okay class! Before the bell rings I would like you all to start discussing project ideas with your table partner.” Mr. Yukimura barks placing a rubric on every pair of desks. “This will be due by Friday. I expect you all to take this seriously and try to come to each other’s houses to work on it. Remember this is worth 40% of your grade!” And with that the bell rings and Kaitlyn gets up and starts to leave.
“Wait!” Liam yells, chasing after her. “Um, do you want to come to my friend’s house tonight to start on the project?” He asks already having a plan in mind on how to tell Scott, his alpha, about her being a werewolf too.
“Yeah, sure. Just text me the address.” Kaitlyn says handing Liam her phone. He adds his contact information and then hands her the phone back.
“I’ll text you later.” He says rushing away towards his friend Mason. “Bro, you’re not gonna believe this! Kaitlyn is a werewolf too!” He starts blabbering while Kaitlyn leans against her locker listening in on their conversation, using her werewolf hearing. She sighs thinking about how tonight’s gonna go. She’s never really had the experience of having real friends, since her grandparents keep her in the house most of the day. She is what most would consider a “troubled kid”. But who wouldn’t be troubled if they watched their mom kill their dad? Exactly. No one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was finally the end of the day. Great. That means Kaitlyn has to go over to Liam’s friend’s house and “work” on their project.
“Hey, do you need a ride over to Scott’s?” Liam asks literally jumping out of nowhere.
“Yeah, that would be nice.” Kaitlyn answers following Liam towards his car. “You actually know how to drive right? I have a hard time trusting people and you look a little sketchy.”
“Yes, I know how to drive. I’m hurt that you think I would put your life in danger like that.” He chuckles opening the door for her.
“Why are you being nice to me? Don’t you think I’m weird? Everyone always thinks I’m weird.” She questions him suddenly becoming very serious.
“You aren’t weird. Yeah, I don’t know your past or what you’ve been through, but I do know that you’re special.” Liam says getting lost in Kaitlyn’s green eyes. With that Kaitlyn turns away looking out the window trying to hide the blush that has crept up to her cheeks. No one has ever been this nice to her and it’s affecting her actions.
The car ride to Scott’s was short and filled with small talk. Kaitlyn learned that Liam is 17 and plays Lacrosse for the Beacon Hills High team. He’s actually not that bad of a person. The only thing she’s dreading is walking through Scott’s front door. But she follows Liam in anyway, pushing the dark thoughts to the back of her head.
“Guys, we’re here!” Liam yells and leads her into the living room where everyone is seated. It has to be at least 5 people already here. A tall teenager with brown hair and an uneven jawline stands up and introduces himself first.
“You must be Kaitlyn! I’m Scott.” He says wrapping Kaitlyn in a bone crushing hug.
“Can’t breathe.” She mutters pushing Scott off of her. Once he’s let go she begins to speak. “I’m Kaitlyn. And uh Liam? I thought we were gonna work on our project?” She questions walking back towards him.
“ Yeah… About that. There’s been a change of plan.” He answers looking at the rest of his pack. Kaitlyn flashes her wolf eyes at everyone, feeling like she's in danger.
“Liam, let me leave. I don’t belong here!” She yells through her canines.
“Look we don’t want to hurt you! We just want to let you know that we are just like you!” He throws out his hands motioning to everyone in the room. “Scott? He’s an alpha. Malia? She’s a were-coyote. Kira? She’s a thunder Kitsune. Lydia? She’s a banshee that detects death. And Stiles? Well he’s just human.”
“Correction. I was possessed by an evil Japanese spirit called the Nogitsune for awhile. But I’m better now.” The pale, lanky boy known as Stiles remarks.
“Yeah, whatever. See Kaitlyn? We are just like you. We just want to help you.” Liam speaks calmly, grabbing her hand. “We are here for you. You’re one of us. We want you to be part of the pack.” Liam says pushing Kaitlyn’s chin up with one finger so she can look into his eye’s.
“I-I… I guess I can be part of your pack. I mean I don’t really have anyone else.” She answers looking back down at her feet.
“Good. We can help each other out. We like you, Kaitlyn.” Scott assures her. Kaitlyn nods. The feeling of remorse and the remembrance of her old life escaping her thoughts for a moment. Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
