Going off the same idea of the reader being ok if they *ahem* take care of themselves so long as they don't wake them up. Could I have a one shot of Elijah doing this? If not it's ok 👉👈
Entrusting Him
Summary: After using sex as a stress reliever, Elijah begins to depend on it. Y/N shows him just how much she trusts him, and how much she loved him by giving him full access to her mind, body and soul.
Elijah had been increasingly possessive as situations got more tense. Niklaus was at the centre of the problems between not only the vampire but the witches and werewolves too. Having the threat over all of their heads, Elijah knew he had made the mistake of falling in love again.
But he couldn’t find it within himself to push Y/N away, instead he kept her impossibly close. If she didn’t leave his side, then he would always be there to keep her safe.
However, Y/N had began to help him unwind. Encouraged him to release his stress into her. Yet now he had come to rely on it. Suddenly aroused whenever things turned badly. The stressful the situation, the more control he needed not to pull her aside. Too many times had she sat beside him, gently caressing him through his trousers to keep him calm.
“You’ve turned me into a different kind of beast.” He whispered against her at night, his cock remaining embedded inside her until they had to leave the house again.
Elijah had come to waking her in the early hours of the morning, his body reacting to the knowledge that the next day will bring stressful meetings and confrontations.
“Y/N…” he’d whisper, stroking her face gently. “Please, doll.”
“It’s so early ‘Lijah.” She mumbled, rubbing her eyes.
“I know, I’m sorry.” He kissed her cheek then her mouth. “I need you.”
But so many times now, she had accidentally fallen back to sleep. Elijah would of course stop, lay down beside her in a state of desperation and exhaustion. Y/N only realised how badly he needed her when she woke, feeling movement beside her and turning to see him facing away, his hips rutting up into his own hand as he tried to keep himself quiet.
“Elijah…” she whispered, her hand resting in his shoulder as he came against the sheets. He wouldn’t look at her, too ashamed. “Shh…it’s okay.” She kissed his back gently and reached around him to feel his cock; still hard and leaking.
“Forgive me.” He breathed, knowing she already had as she stroked him through another orgasm.
Later, when she lay against him ready for bed again, she squeezed his hand in hers. “I don’t want you to do that again.” She whispered and he turned his head away.
“I won’t.” He promised, his fingers intertwining with hers as he held her tight. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, I’m not mad, Elijah.” She turned to kiss his jaw, her hands stroking his face gently. “Elijah?” She cooed, making him look at her despite his shame. “You don’t have to wake me up.” She uttered and he frowned before shaking his head.
“I couldn’t-“
“I want you to.” Y/N kissed his lips softly before hugging him to her, pressing her face to his neck. “I fall asleep with you inside me, I want to wake knowing you’re still there, that you’re satisfied and happy.”
“I won’t know if I’ve hurt you.” He frowned and she smiled at him, tilting her head.
“You know my body better than anybody.” She told him, “better than I do. You’ll know, Elijah.” Her head nodded. “Besides, I’m not saying to do anything crazy, just that you can and I know you want to.”
“But-“
“Just think about it.” She said, kissing him once more before settling down to sleep. Letting him slip between her legs to feel close to her.
In the morning, he could hear her words replaying through his mind over and over. But when he gently laid her on her back and lifted his shirt that she’d worn to sleep, he felt so guilty at the idea of fucking her.
Quietly, he spread her thighs. Elijah moved to lay on his front, pulling her legs over his shoulders to gently wake her pussy up. He was slow, caring as he licked and sucked at her in a way he knew would make her come undone quickly.
Once he’d lapped up any mess, he moved to hover over her. “I love you.” He whispered, pressing his forehead to hers as he pushed his cock back into her. She felt warmer than ever, her body so soft as she moved from his force. He gently placed his hands on her hips, not wanting her to jolt as he thrust deeply. “That’s it…” he murmured, his eyes darkening at the sleepy moan she let out. Elijah moved one hand down, pressing his fingers against her lower belly and his thumb to her clit. “Y/N-“ he groaned, his breath hot against her lips as he sped up, his body trembling as he fucked into her with growing intensity.
He felt as though electric was running through his veins, filling him with energy as he continued to plough into her through his orgasm and into another.
Y/N woke when he held her up, her back against the headboard and wall, her head limply laying against his neck, legs draped around him as he let out fast puffs of air. She moaned, her brows furrowed as she moved her hands up to his hair, curling into the thick strands as she lifted her legs to wrap around him properly.
“Elijah…” she whimpered, the sound sending him over the edge again. When he didn’t relent, she pulled back enough to look at his face. His hair stuck to his skin, his eyes red and dazed as his hips moved as though programmed. “Baby…” she cupped his face, moaning again when she felt her whole body give in, her legs shaking without her even realising. “Fuck…Elijah.” The sheets were soaked and she could see how swollen her pussy was. Her hands tugged his hair, her hips slowly rolling with his.
“Just one more.” He uttered, breathless and feral as he leaned down to suck her neck which she only now noticed was already a little sore. Y/N didn’t have to look in a mirror to know she was covered in love bites. “Please?” He breathed and she nodded, stroking his hair as he sunk his fangs down into her jugular, drinking slowly as he came again.
Y/N moaned, head back and body relaxed as he gradually brought his speed down. With one last thrust, he pulled his teeth away and kissed the wounds until the blood stopped. Y/N groaned when he pulled out, her body impossibly empty without her as he laid her down to the side, away from the damp sheets.
“Shh…” he murmured, stroking her head gently and biting into his own wrist but Y/N only smiled.
“Never wanna get rid of your marks.” She whispered, sleepier now that she was before as the lack of blood took its effect. Elijah knew she’d be okay, he’d perfected how much he could take.
“I’ll clean you up, okay?” He told her, cupping her face gently and smiling back at her when she nodded.
“Trust you.” She breathed before her eyes closed again. Elijah leant down to kiss her lips gently, hugging her body to him appreciatively because he knew she’d meant it.

Summary: Elijah's body starts to misbehave when he's around you. Elijah has to hide it before he makes a fool of himself.
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x reader

Elijah blinked, trying to remember what he had been doing. From the moment you entered the kitchen in a sheer lilac slip dress, everything had gone hazy.
You stretched for the can of coffee on the top shelf. “Elijah,” you called. “A leg up, please?”
Elijah cleared his throat. “Of course.”
He kneeled on the floor, and you stepped on his thigh, grabbing his shoulders to steady yourself.
As you reached for the coffee, and Elijah watched your silk dress skate higher and higher up your brown thigh.
“Almost…” you said, moving your foot up Elijah’s leg, till it almost brushed his crotch.
Elijah felt sparks of pleasure run up his leg. His body started to misbehave. He could not let you see this.
Elijah moved away from you so fast you fell onto the floor.
“Elijah?” you said, catching your breath. “What happened?”
Elijah cursed. Did this have to happen now? In front of you, his brother’s friend?
You pulled Elijah towards you, and gasped.
Elijah’s eyes were red, and veins covered his cheeks. His fangs were pointing out.
“Oh no, Elijah,” you said. “Are you hungry? When did you last feed?”
Elijah gulped. “Vampires gain their fangs when hungry… threatened… or aroused.”
You laughed into your hands. “Oh my god. Did I just give Elijah Mikaelson a vampire hard-on?”
Elijah’s grabbed the doorframe with one hand, crushing it. “It's nothing. I just need a few moments to collect myself.”
You sucked your cereal spoon, smiling. “So you do have a thing for me.”
“Of course not. Mere coincidence,” Elijah said, mopping his brow with his handkerchief. His fangs shrunk away.
“So,” you said naughtily, “nothing will happen if I do this.”
You dropped the spoon at his feet and bent to pick it up. Elijah’s eyes were glued to your dangling necklace… and your soft chest beneath.
Elijah’s fangs shot out with a hiss. “For the love of God,” he muttered.
“Don’t be embarrassed,” you said, slinging your hands over his shoulders. “It's cute.”
Elijah shut his eyes. “I am not some newborn vampire, unable to control his lust.”
“But you are around me,” you said, gazing up at him through your lashes.
Elijah watched you with open-mouthed awe, not even trying to hide his fangs.
“It's okay,” you said, lowering your voice. “I have an insane vamp boner for you.”
“Is that so?” he said, his lips pulling up.
Your eyes were wide and innocent as you toyed with Elijah’s collar. “So, what can a vampire do when their fangs…misbehave?”
Elijah smiled down at you, pulling your body against his. His fingers made tiny circles on the silk over your waist.
“There are many options,” he said quietly. “Usually one would leave, but you will not let me. One may try to think about something else,” he coiled your hair around his finger, “but that is also proving impossible.” He raised his chin sharply. “That leaves, well, embracing the situation.”
He swept your hair away from your throat.
“May I?” he said. His fangs were poised over your neck to drink.
Your eyes slipped shut and your breath hitched in your throat. “Of course I'll help you with your little problem,” you said. “You can address my sticky situation later."

Introducing....History Buff!Reader x Klaus Mikaelson
History Buff!Reader who has to convince Klaus he isn't just another relic in their collection. They're fascinated by him, by the time he's lived through, but they love him, not the stories he can tell. Thought they're very interested in those too.
History Buff!Reader who asks Klaus if certain things from their books are true. He's lived through so much time and met so many people, he has so many stories to tell and they listen to each and every one.
History Buff!Reader who loves when Klaus reads to them. They love reading, but there's something different about it when Klaus says each word aloud. They hold more gravity when they fall from his lips, they're simply more.
History Buff!Reader who falls asleep to Klaus' stories. They never want to, they wake up kicking themselves because they really wanted to hear that one, but his voice is so soothing. It lulls them into a soft, comfortable place that sends them right to sleep. Klaus doesn't complain, he gets to hold them in his arms the entire time so in his book, he's the one benefiting.
History Buff!Reader who finds pressed roses in their favourite books. Klaus is always careful, he dries each flower perfectly, pressing them in a separate, meaningless book first to make sure there's absolutely no residue left on them before placing them in the right books, the ones he knows they'll read next.
History Buff!Reader who adores the extravagant parties and balls Klaus throws. For an evening, it feels like they've stepped back into the times they read about. All dressed up, with the most eligible suitor in the entire room.
I hope you like this anon, it's such a cute pairing!!
When Klaus ruins a good chat with a very sincere girl he's been obsessing over for some time now, he has some making up to do.
Warnings - slightly yandere!Klaus, if you squint, and a good ol' make-out session, which does lead tos omething more (no p in v!).
Word Count - 4.2k

Long time no see, besties? I hope you didn't forget me!! I've been trying to get back into writing after a full month of practicals and exams, so this is indeed a word-vomit kind of fic (it is very fast paced!), hahah. I hope you'll be entertained regardless! <3
Klaus had had a long day. He felt like bashing his head against a wall or shoving his fist through someone's chest. But he did neither of those painful deeds and instead found himself headed to the Mystic Grill.
He decided to walk there at a rather slow pace, wanting to clear his head so that he'll be able to fully enjoy his drinks there.
The air was bitingly cold against wherever his skin was exposed, and it was so strong that it managed to sneak into and engulf him even inside his coat. But he didn't shiver, or even flinch – instead, he shut his eyes for a second or two, and tried to focus on what he could smell and feel.
Before he knew it, he could hear the low buzz of his destination – the frequent sounds of beer bottles clinking together, people talking each other's ears off after finally getting together after a while, and students trying to get a group project discussion done without having to repeat themselves five times because of the loud chatter.
He felt that he was smiling by the time he could smell the scent of ...well, alcohol and a variety of colognes. Some fried food and a lot of blood.
But when he walked through the door, and saw the true reason for his smile, he felt conscious enough to hide it or else seeming totally weird and out of it.
He bit his lip and walked over to the bar, mumbling his usual order to the tender before he sat on one of the stools. Slowly, he turned his neck to look behind him, and a gleaming smile found its way on his mouth when he realised that she had already been looking at him.
She'd been nodding to something her friend was saying, while looking at him. Klaus nodded lightly and slowly turned back around when she smiled back right away and turned away a little shyly.
Klaus' mind was usually always busy building strategies, making back up plans, being paranoid and trying to figure out who was betraying him. But for the past few weeks, she had taken up more than half of the space in his brain, and his heart had begun beating at a slightly faster rate – perhaps by a point five.
He had seen her hanging with Caroline and Bonnie, and quite often with Alaric Saltzman and Logan Fell. And each time that he'd approach any of her mates, she'd quickly back out and leave the space. Almost as if she didn't want to even be breathing the same air as him.
But all of the times that she was unaware of his looming presence, it was like she was the sweetest heart to be walking the earth.
So, perhaps she was afraid of him, Klaus had thought trying to come to a conclusion, remembering the sound of her escalated heart beats whenever he was around. But that wouldn't make sense as she had no reason to fear him, since as far as he knew, she didn't know anything about the inner-goings of her distant friend group.
Distant because he saw her with others more than he saw her with any of the Scooby-gang's members.
She'd be walking along with Caroline and Bonnie, and the moment she would see him around the corner, she would essentially scutter off. When he would interrupt her sessions with Alaric, she would scatter to gather her stuff and scurry off while making sure that she didn't brush against him as she passed him in the doorway.
And when he would crash her conversations with Logan at the bar, she would look quite pissed off, but still, she would be gone with the next gust of wind.
Sometimes Klaus’ wandering eyes would fixate on Y/n for a little too long and he would occasionally catch a boy gazing at her, or another one looking at her for a brief second before he would mutter something in his friend’s ear, something along the lines of, “she just needs to look at me once with a smile, and I’ll literally take her back to my house.”
He wasn’t sure then why his teeth would grit till he was pulled out of his rage by a hand on his shoulder, often of someone equally infuriating such as Damon or Alaric.
He would just be quite outraged that the one girl he had his eyes on, he had to share with a couple others. And it didn’t even make sense, because no one even knew that he was even aware of her presence, let alone the fact that he would often be searching for her in places he knew she must be present.
But maybe, it was her behaviour that had his interest piqued. He wanted to know many things about her, such as: why she avoided him, and why did he catch her hanging with the two older men so often. Maybe it was because he wanted her to be hanging out with him instead, maybe it was because he was curious and that was the most he had seen of her till date.
Since then, he had his eyes on her whenever she was around. And so far he had noticed a few other things such as, she only wore her prescribed glasses when she was alone, or attending a lecture, she had a sensitive skin that turned red if she rubbed it too harshly, and that she often read more than just one book at a time.
A couple days prior, three to be exact, he was disappointedly walking out of Alaric's class. He had been hoping to crash one of her sessions again. But she hadn't been there – Klaus had even made sure to check if it was the usual time that she was there. The colour pink had washed over his cheeks in embarrassment, and he'd turned into the hallway that led to the library, giving himself another chance and hoping he'd catch her there.
He opened the gate just slightly ajar, enough for him to peak his head through. And just as he had hoped, she was standing right there, looking like a deer caught in headlights with her big eyes in the dim lighting of the library.
Biting back a smile, he walked inside, closing the door behind him.
"Hi," he mumbled, walking forward with his hands in his coat's pockets.
She looked around her to ensure that he was asking her. Still, she pointed at herself and whispered, "me?"
Klaus chuckled, then nodded.
She waved back at him then, and, "hi," she smiled.
"Uh, I've seen you around a couple times actually, but never caught your name," he whispered, sticking his hand out.
"Y/n," she nodded with a small laugh before wrapping her hand around his' easily, and Klaus couldn't ignore just how soft and warm it was. Or maybe he'd felt that about her laughter, he wasn't sure.
"I'm Klaus, it's nice to finally meet you," he smiled. "It wouldn't have taken this long if you hadn't been avoiding me," he shrugged.
She looked at the ground, embarrassed. "I wasn't avoiding you," she mumbled, turning to put a book back on the shelf. "I'm sorry that that's what it looked like."
The smile was still playing around on her mouth, but this one was covered in hues of truth that she was holding back.
"Oh? My eyes must have been deceiving me every time you ran off when I came around," he pointed out, amused.
"Well, I don't know," she exclaimed, "you just make me nervous!"
Klaus looked at her incredulously. "You didn't even know my name until a few minutes ago, and you say that I made you nervous? That doesn't make any sense, now does it?"
"I know! But --" she hesitated, "I don't know," she deflated like a balloon.
Klaus sighed, shrugging. "I -- are you nervous right now?" He could hear very well that she was, but he still wanted to hear what she had to say.
"I mean, kind of?" She trailed off. "But not as much as you usually do!"
"Alright, baby steps, perhaps." He laughed, and then harder when she doubled over and put her hand on his arm for support.
"Wait, am I holding you back?" He quickly asked.
"I mean, yes you are, but it's fine," she shrugged. "I don't want to go to class anyways," she said, grinning.
"I didn't take you for a bad student," he feigned being shocked.
"I'm not! It's just, I've already covered what he's going to teach in class today," she smiled, embarrassed again.
"Is that why I see you around Alaric so often?" Klaus gasped. "Are you trying to leave you batchmates behind?"
Y/n laughed as if he was talking crap after taking five shots.
"Well, I'd rather put it as, I want to learn everything in my lifetime, and right now, it means I know what's written in most textbooks, more well than my peers do," she shrugged.
Klaus nodded, as if saying, 'sure, why not!'. "And what about Logan?"
"You have quite a wandering eye, don't you?" She teased him first, but when Klaus gave her a look, she sighed.
"Well, I've been wanting to know more about Journalism, especially the things that people don't really tell you at face value, you know? I'm just taking advantage of my situation and running after Logan after any new thing I learn."
Klaus could already tell that this was a busy girl, who liked to make each second of her day count. And suddenly, he felt bad for chatting to her without any preset intentions.
And then, Y/n checked her wristwatch.
"I ...have to go," she said, as if it was the most embarrassing thing she'd ever had to say in her entire life.
"Oh, okay, yeah, of course!" Klaus face palmed himself in his mind for stumbling over his words so hard.
She lingered, and then passed him a quick smile. And she'd just reached the door's handle when he cleared his throat instantly.
"Y/n!" She turned, and saw that one of his hands was in the air, almost as if reaching out to her.
"I was thinking maybe we could get some coffee? Or whatever you like to drink, and you know... I'd like to get to know you," he finished off quite shyly, and pinched himself for it from inside his coat's pocket.
"I'd love to," she replied loudly. She knew that there was no one other than them in the room right now. "Find me when you get the chance," she said before leaving.
And it had been a full week since their first and last true encounter – and Klaus was just now seeing her again.
He felt bad, realising that she might have felt as if he'd somehow played her. But he'd had to go back to New Orleans to solve a matter suddenly, and the moment he'd stepped foot back in Mystic Falls, he'd walked straight to the Grill.
Even when he was away, he'd felt the urge to look at her, at the very least. And that had been when he'd truly known that he needed to just make her his’.
"Don’t you think our drinks might have gone bad by now?" Klaus heard her say before he saw her, sliding onto the seat right beside him.
"Oh, I had to leave town for a little bit," Klaus immediately answered, brushing his nose. "Spontaneously too," he added, then gulped dryly.
She only nodded, before taking a sip of her coffee. The maroon colour on her lips was faint, like she had rubbed it to look more like a gradient, and he suddenly felt thirsty.
"Seems like you missed me," he shrugged with a smirk, looking at her from the corner of his eye as he took a gulp of his own drink.
She gasped, looking at him accusingly.
"No, I didn't!" She exclaimed, eyes wide.
"And who are you lying to, yourself or me?" Klaus raised a brow, placing his elbow on the bar and leaning his temple on his palm, looking at her with his full attention.
She had left the top two buttons of the cropped shirt open, and only because of the pendant that was leading his gaze further down, Klaus noticed the lace of her black bra peeking through. He was relieved to see that she didn’t notice, busy tucking her hair behind her ear.
"I- I'm not lying," she answered, caught a little off-guard. “I don’t care enough to lie,” she said, but without looking him in the eyes.
"Whatever you say," Klaus feigned nonchalance, and checked his wrist watch, hoping she'd say something that he could then tease her about.
But instead, he saw her sigh in his periphery.
"Okay," she mumbled, placing her empty glass on the bar and slid off the seat. Fixing the hem of her shirt, she walked back to her table, chewing the inside of her cheek.
Oh god, Klaus shouldn't have been so mean. He had forgotten just how gentle and sensitive her nature was. He face-palmed internally, mad that he had ruined such a good meeting.
Looking behind him with a deep frown, he was panicking how he could save the situation when he saw her hug all of her friends to her side, while fixing her tote on her other shoulder.
Her hair was tied in a neat bun, but wisps had still managed to escape. Gold hoops dangled from her ears, and his eyes travelled down the expanse of her neck.
Klaus blinked, and focused.
"I mean I do have to submit an essay tonight, and get some readings done before midnight," she spoke guiltily, curling in on herself under the upset gaze of the friends.
"I'm sorry, I'll make up soon," she pouted, letting a girl press a kiss on her cheek before she was rushing out of the bar, leaving behind a chatter and before Klaus could bury his face deep in his palms, the girls' eyes flashed to him for a brief second.
To be real, they weren't even close. Barely acquaintances, but for some reason, Klaus felt as though he was on the very edge of losing something ...exceptional. So he needed to do something, and do it quickly.
He had to reach her before she slammed the door on him. Finishing the last bit of his drink, he rushed back home, to ensure nothing would come up to interrupt him later in the night.
Klaus was well aware that Y/n lived with her parents, who truly loved her dearly. She was the only one so far who he had seen with a usual pair of parents, let alone with a close relationship with them as well. And he also knew that they would never expect their golden daughter to even be holding hands with a boy let alone being alone with a man in her room.
So he knew that he could shoot his shot tonight, and the both of them would come out the other side, uncaught.
When the crickets had begun chirping, and the moon was the only source of light, Klaus made his way to her house. From outside he saw that her room was still lit up, albeit a little dimly.
He climbed right up to her window, and was amazed to find her window open ajar, and the curtains that were usually covering it, were drawn just a little to the side – enough for him to peek inside. As the curtains bellowed because of the strong wind, Klaus felt as though he heard cello begin playing inside of his heart the moment he caught a glimpse of her.
But then he waited, and realised that the music was coming from her laptop instead. Leaning in a little bit more, he saw that she was sitting on the floor, swamped amongst papers with the end of a pen caught between her teeth.
As she was studying from a paper in front of her, and then shifting her attention back on her laptop to type something, Klaus felt the urge to free her bottom lip from where it was held by her canines.
Unable to control himself any longer, but still having the mind to not startle her, Klaus knocked on the window.
She looked up, still a little distracted because of her papers, but when she saw him sitting on her window sill, her eyes blew wide.
Her mouth dropped open but before she could’ve yelped, Klaus had his hand cupped in front of her mouth. “It’s me!” He whispered, his heart thudding as her round eyes stared back into his’.
Her breathing calmed, and she let her figure slump back down.
“Dear god, you scared the shit out of me,” she shook her head, eyes closed and her hand placed over her heart.
“Don’t use bad words,” he teased, finally sitting down on the floor with her.
He rested his back against the foot of her bed, and spread his legs in front of him, locking them at the ankles.
“Wh- what the hell are you even doing here? Isn’t this trespassing?” She asked, and then squinted her eyes. “Should I scream right now?”
Laughter escaped him before he could control it. “Why are you so sweet, my love?” He asked her, simply smiling now.
She looked a little offended.
“You can call it a trespass or a break in, if you want to. I think I’d call this apologising,” he shrugged.
A little puzzled, Y/n raised an eyebrow. “Apologising? …For?”
“For the way I spoke to you earlier,” he said, rolling his lips in. He needed to tread carefully here.
Realisation seemed to dawn upon her then, and she skipped the ad that had interrupted the cello music to buy herself some time. “Yeah about that, um,” she swallowed, embarrassment creeping in. “You don’t need to apologise for that, um, I think I overreacted a little.”
This answer gave him the confidence that it would be way easier to make her his’, than he had originally thought.
“No, I should’ve talked to you sweetly, that is what you deserve,” he started. “I was a twit for behaving like that, and I’m very sorry.”
At this point, her ears were burning red and she was chewing on the inside of her cheek again. “It’s okay, Klaus. I forgive you, really,” she smiled.
Silence overtook them for a while, and Klaus could sense her attention slipping back onto her papers. So he leaned in, and moved all of the papers aside.
Y/n gasped, beginning to protest when Klaus shushed her with his finger on her lips.
“I’d put them in an order,” she pouted, a small frown in between her brows. God she got upset and embarrassed way too easily, and each time Klaus felt like his heart was alive again.
Klaus trailed his finger down her chin, and then brought it back into his lap. “I don’t think I can hide this any longer, I uh,” he licked his lips, and took a small breath. “I really like you, Y/n.”
Her eyes widened, and gradually, a smile pulled the corners of her mouth upwards. “You do?” She asked while grinning, her excitement seeping into Klaus.
He began smiling too. “Yeah,” he nodded. “I really fucking do.”
Y/n buried her face into her hands. “Oh god, I cannot believe this.”
Klaus was grinning now, and he shifted close enough to take hold of her wrists to pull them away. “Look at me, love,” he said softly.
And Y/n did, her eyes shining like he had put stars in them and her face was so red he could feel warmth just by hovering his hands over her cheeks.
“Do you feel the same?” He asked, looking into her eyes, and when she nodded furiously, Klaus bit his lip.
“I really really like you as well, Klaus,” she giggled, and Klaus went back to lean against the bed.
He watched her for a few seconds, and she looked back into his eyes, her smile stretched from ear to ear.
“Come closer now, would you?” He said with a teasing lilt in his voice, and he grabbed her hand when she got up on her knees to move towards him.
And when she was sitting beside him, Klaus brushed the back of his hand against her cheek before cupping it in one hand. “Can I kiss you?” He asked, his voice raspier and quieter now that she was so close he could smell the cologne she had put on earlier in the evening.
Y/n nodded, eyes fluttering. “Please,” she told him softly, her breath just a little exhilarated
And overwhelmed by her answer, Klaus drew her in and smashed his mouth onto her. His entire body felt like it was on fire, and a rasp escaped his throat when Y/n placed a hand on his chest.
“God, you taste so good,” he muttered against her mouth to let her take a couple of breaths before he was kissing her again, his fingers entangled in her hair with his palm placed on the edge of her jaw.
Her hand travelled upwards, leaving goosebumps behind and travelled behind his neck to curl her fingers around the baby hairs on the nape of his neck.
He bit down on her bottom lip before pushing his tongue into her mouth, and a whimper escaped her mouth. She let him take control, and Klaus began exploring her mouth.
She backed away to catch her breath, but Klaus was quick to latch onto her neck. He left a trail of saliva along her jaw before marking spots on the span of her neck. She moaned, her breaths heavy and laced with want as Klaus sucked right above her collarbone.
“Straddle me, sweetheart,” Klaus grunted against her skin, a particular type of high coursing through his body as he pressed his nose further into her skin.
She did just as he said and the moment he felt her heat radiate onto his boner, he knew he was gone for the night.
“Klaus?” She called his name gently, and he looked up into her eyes right away.
“I- I’m a virgin,” she told him, her breath shaky.
“It’s okay sweetheart, we can go further another day, yes? Whenever you want to?” He told her, and she nodded so sweetly Klaus had to take a deep breath to ground himself.
“But can I just kiss you a little longer, my love?” He asked, eyes then trailing over the hickeys he had given her. He would really need to jerk himself off the moment he reached his home.
“Uh huh,” she mumbled, her voice cracking. “Please.”
“God, you love to beg, don’t you?” He chuckled, tracing her jaw. “I’ll give you what you want, sweet girl. Whatever you want,” he whispered, and this time Y/n was the one to start the kiss.
Their heads bobbed as they pressed themselves further into each other and it was only in a few seconds that Klaus felt movement against his crotch.
He stopped to look down, and saw Y/n’s hips falter to a stop. “Did I do something wrong?” She asked him worriedly.
“Were you grinding on me, sweetheart?”
“Y-yeah, I think so,” she muttered, hands beginning to fiddle.
“You’ll be the death of me,” Klaus grunted before he drew her into a kiss again. And this time, one his hands remained tangled in her hair while the other one began to travel down her waist and on her hips.
Then he began to grind her onto him, and pushed himself up towards her clothed cunt. Slowly, he created a pace and it wasn’t long before she was increasing the pace herself.
Small whimpers and moans began to escape her as Klaus continued kissing her. He himself felt getting closer and he had just been thinking of holding himself back when he heard her say his name.
“Please, Klaus,” she whimpered again, and Klaus moved to press kisses and bites across her chest instead.
“Yes, my love?” He asked her, still drawing her stuttering hips into a pace.
“I think, I think I’m going to come,” she mumbled, and Klaus knew there was no stopping himself now.
“Yeah, sweet girl? Come for me then, make me happy,” he rasped before nipping above her other collarbone.
And right then, Y/n bit down on her bottom lip as her body began to shake. Stuttering against Klaus’ unforgiving pace, she fell into shambles on top of him. A lone tear slid out of one of her eyes, and Klaus eyes were glinting at this sight of her.
He freed her bottom lip, and kissed her harshly one last time before he felt the knot in his belly break loose. God, he had made a mess of himself in front of this angel girl, and still he kept moving her hips until the both of them had ridden their highs.
She pressed her face in his neck then, and wrapped her arms around his torso, still sitting on top of him.
“God, I really fucking like you,” she said meekly, clutching him a little tighter.
“I know my love,” Klaus smiled, brushing his hands through her hair, and inhaling the faint smell of vanilla. “I really like you as well, my love,” he said in a deep voice, and pressed a small kiss on her ear.
Oooo sorry for rambling, if it’s okay can I please request an Elijah Mikaelson x fem banshee (like Lydia from Teen Wolf) reader where when they were trying to rescue Elena from Rose and Elijah shows up, Y/n is also there trying to rescue Elena and stays near Elena while the Salvatores fight Elijah and Damon stakes him. Y/n insists to the Salvatores and Elena that she has this feeling that Elijah isn’t really dead but they brush her off, Damon probably making a joke questioning her banshee abilities. On the way back to Mystic Falls, they all stop at a hotel but Y/n disappears, she’s led is a trance like state back to the boarding house they left Elijah in and she finds herself standing face to face with a now waking up original vampire. I’m guessing he’d try to attack her but she’d send him flying back into the wall with a banshee scream. He’d be fascinated never having encountered a banshee before. He wouldn’t let her leave his side after this as a banshee would be very useful to him (and his siblings) she’d be terrified of him at first but would warm up to him and they’d fall in love! Her abilities would help him find his daggered siblings, she’d have premonitions/visions of Finn and Esther’s deadly plans, Kol and Finn’s impending deaths so they’d be able to save them, the Mikaelsons end up seeing her as family and maybe she gets turned into a banshee-vampire hybrid so her and Elijah can be together forever 💖
Thank you so much for this request! sorry for how long it took to write I have been so busy this summer, I am really trying to get back to regular writing here!
- I will be doing a part two for this as it was getting really long and I haven’t finished everything in the request yet!
Was there ever enough time
Series: the vampire diaries
Paring: Elijah Mikealson
Summary: Request! You're a banshee, and through circumstances find yourself left alone with Elijah In his house. Your unique abilities are of his use and you realise helping him is of yours. Or is there another reason neither of you can leave each other's sides?
Warnings: Swear words, fighting.
"Are you sure he's dead?" I stared at the desiccated body of the vampire. "Erm- i'm pretty sure I know how to kill a vampire" Damon chucked and rolled his eyes. I had been guarding Elena but now her and Stefan were wrapped around each other I felt it okay to move. I walked closer trying to wipe this uncanny feeling away. "Y/n- we should go" Damon called out to me from afar. Stefan was helping Elena out of the house while Damon waited for me.
Elijah wasn't moving and Damon was right, he did know how to kill a vampire. So maybe he really was dead. But I haven't had a feeling like this before and it was hard to just ignore it. Even though the vampire was desiccated, he was still extremely handsome in his snappy suit and polished shoes. Unfortunately his shirt wasn't so white now, having been stained with his own blood. "Y/n" Damon whispered touching my arm, it startled me and I jumped facing him.
"Are you okay?" "I don't know- I don't think he is dead Damon" I looked at him shyly, knowing how it sounded. "Y/n its right in front of you?" "But i'm a banshee Damon- I know what death feels like" I frowned getting frustrated with the situation myself. "Well- I don't know what to tell you- do you want me to push it in further?" he shrugged taking a step towards the body. "No it's fine- let's just go" I tutted and walked past the Salvatore brother.
I went and followed the couple into the car leaving Damon behind me. Stefan was driving and Elena was close to him in the front. Damon soon got in beside me. “How far are we from home?” Elena wondered to the group. “Too far” Stefan replied, “we’re gonna have to make a pit stop” he further explained.
Stefan began moving the car, and we were driving for a few hours before we stopped at hotel on the way back to mystic falls. It wasn’t the nicest place I’d ever stayed but it would do for a night. Me and Damon were sharing a room because Stefan refused to let Elena out of his sight now. We had single separate beds. The time on my watch showed a little after midnight now, and I noticed Damon across the room yawning. It had been a long day.
I unpacked the stuff I needed for bed and went to shower and freshen up. I put on shorts and a fitted cropped vest, something cool because the air con in here was crappy. And then went and slipped into the covers of the bed and exhaled. “They’re not too bad huh, the beds” Damon converted, he was wearing no top and lying with the covers at his waist. “Anything would do- I’m exhausted” I mumbled against the pillow.
“This is going to be a good sleep”. He laughed turning towards me. “You feeling any better?” “Not really- still have a weird feeling about today” I told him propping myself up on one elbow. “I’m sure you just need some sleep, we’re far, far away from there now anyway” he shrugged his shoulders offering me a smile. “Yeah perhaps” I nodded sinking down into my pillow. If that was the case I wanted to go to sleep right now.
I squeezed my eyes closed and wrapped an arm around my face. “Goodnight Y/n” Damon whispered, and turned the lights off. “Goodnight” I muttered sleepily, and I stuffed off into darkness.
My eyes opened to the door of the mansion swinging in the wind. I blinked before my face fell into panic. I looked around breathing heavily shaking my head. “How- how can I be here” I blinked in confusion. As I looked back up to the door I saw Elijah standing in front of me between the frame. “Oh” I whispered to myself knowing this was going to go badly.
Elijah vamp ran towards me and I threw my hands out on instinct screaming. I’d thrown him back inside with my banshee scream and he hit a wall. I didn’t know what to do- I was miles away from the hotel. I saw Elijah’s head pop up off the floor with a confused expression much like my own. His hands flew up in defence. “I wish you no harm” he called out.
“What- what are you” he asked walking slowly to the door. I looked up at him unsure still. “It’s okay- come in- you must be freezing” he beckoned me gently with his hands. I looked down at my shorts and small vest top and realised my body was covered in goosebumps. “Come on I’m not going to hurt you I give you my word” he nodded once, as if I already trusted him with my life. “You can’t” I replied slimming my eyes at him. I walked up the stairs and past the vampire into the house.
He closed the door and took off his suit jacket, he came slowly and cautiously over and placed it over me. “Thank you” I whispered pulling it around me embracing the heat. “What are you?” He raised his eyebrow but I just laughed. “Gosh haven’t you been around for centuries?” I raised my brows back at him making him form a small smile. “And never encountered someone like you” he whispered holding eye contact with me.
“I’m a Banshee- there’s not that many left of us I suppose” I shrugged once, keeping a smile on my face. “I have only heard of legends” he hitched his breath looked at me like I was one of the wonders of the world. “What was your name again? You’re their friend right?” “I know Elena from school yeah- we have been friends a while, my name is Y/n” I told him feeling a little more comfortable. I knew I was supposed to be here, my trance had brought me here for a reason. I had a feeling all day he wasn’t dead.
“Question for a question- how are you still alive? Damon staked you” I swallowed biting my cheek. “Ahah, me and my family can only be killed using white oak wood, not just any old wood” he confessed, showing me that the hole on his chest was gone. “That’s cool” I pulled a face showing I was impressed. “I’m impressed with you too you know” he replied scratching behind his ear. “I’m going to take you back to mine- I’ll make sure you’re safe” he told me putting his hand out to me.
“No- I have to get back to my friends they will be looking for me- I don’t even have my phone” I shook my head taking a step back. “Uh uh, I am going to need your help- please” “I don’t have a choice huh” I folded my arms angrily. “Your talents will come in handy” he offered up with a shrug. I silently pressed my lips together. He was right, I didn’t really have a choice, I either went with him or stayed here with no phone or way home.
“Fine, I’ll go with you” I huffed, I still didn’t trust the man one bit but I knew he was right. A smile crept across his face. “Perfect” he put his arm out for me to told. “I’ll take you to my car”. “Your name?” I raised my eyebrow. “Sorry, Elijah Mikaelson” he chuckled as I took his arm. “Elijah” I repeated smiling at this name, I quite liked it actually.
He walked me round out of the house to the location at which he parked his car. it was off a little dirt track to the side of the road. "How far will the journey be?" "Never you worry, we will be home soon" he told me smiling, opening the car door for me like the gentleman he is. "Thank you" I beamed feeling a flutter f butterflies.
No men I had ever been with ever had opened a car door for me, especially if they were driving and had to go all the way back round. I sat there thinking about his kindness for a moment, and I started thinking maybe he wasn't so bad.
Elijah turned the heating on for me as soon as he got in the car and then started to pull away off the dirt track, onto the main road now.
I'm not sure how long the drive really took, because after about ten minutes of driving I fell asleep against the window. I woke up in Elijah's arms being carefully carried up the winding stairs. I closed my eyes again and rolled my head into his warm chest. I was too out of it to complain about being carried as if I was a baby.
However something inside of me also never wanted him to let go of me. He pushed a door open with his elbow and walked a few more steps further before softly placing me on what felt like a bed. I opened my eyes to him placing a furry blanket over the top of me. "Thank you" I whispered sleepily, nuzzling against the softness. I heard him chuckle as my eyes fluttered closed again.
"Goodnight Y/n" he whispered, and then took his leave from the room. I heard the latch on the door close and I drifted away to the fairies once again.
When I eventually came to again it was extremely bright outside. I got up to look through the window to see what time of the day it was. All I could see was trees and the beaming sun. Without a phone I felt so disconnected from the world, I didn't know what time it was, or where my friends were, or if they were looking for me. I was happy to find that I wasn't a complete prisoner, my door wasn't locked and I could open it wide out to the hallway.
Wherever I was, this house was humongous. There appeared to be a second stair case down the hall that led to a third floor. But in front of me was the one going downstairs. I could see six other doors on this floor alone, that hid mysterious things behind them. I wasn't sure if I would be able to even find Elijah in this maze.
I defended the stairs and luckily enough, he made his location obvious. "Good morning". "GAH" I cried out throwing my hand over my heart and spinning around in the downstairs hallway. "Where did you come from" I gasped trying to slow my heart rate back down. "The kitchen, I have prepared some food for you" he stated with a small smile, I blinked thinking again about the fact that I have never had a man make me breakfast before.
"Thank you- that is really kind Elijah" I shuffled on my feet not knowing where to go to find it. "And after- I hoped you would help me with something" he raised his eyebrow waiting for my answer. "What is it?".
"Well- I would like your help to find my siblings" Elijah admitted, I saw a small emotion of sadness core his face but he soon wiped it off and I suppose hoped I hadn't seen it. "Why can't you just- contact them?" I frowned confused for a second. "Come and sit down, I will explain" he turned on his heels and entered the closest doorway. It led us to an enormous kitchen where a large plate of pancakes and fresh fruit was waiting for me. He picked it up and walked further down taking us through yet another door, which led to the dining hall.
Elijah put the plate down and poured me a glass of water from the tray in the middle of the large wooden table. A shiny chandelier hung above the grand table in the centre of the room, and for a while I couldn't take my eyes off it. "Take a seat" he smiled pulling the chair out for me. This was the third, gentlemanly but foreign action he had done for me since id met him, and every time he makes my stomach drop and heart pound against my chest.
He pushed me in and the sat on the ight hand side next to me. "I cannot contact them because they are dead- of sort" Elijah began, instantly intriguing me. I lifted my head from my plate and looked at him to continue. and he smiled dangerously. "My brother, Klaus, I am sure you have heard of his name" "once or twice" I replied not looking impressed. I picked up my cutlery as he carried on the story and dove into my plate. "He used daggers on my siblings to put them in a desiccated state, however removing the dagger will give them their life back and I can welcome them home".
"And why did Klaus dagger them" I asked, wanting to know the full story before I decided to help release them back into the world. "Because he's a dick" Elijah sat back and a laugh tumbled out of his mouth. "They angered him- and that was their punishment, he holds grudges" Elijah told me looking more serious now. "I see- but did they actually harm him or other people?", "No" Elijah answered swiftly. "They disobeyed his wishes, that's all, however who wouldn't" he sat forward putting his elbows in the table and joining his hands together.
"I suppose- he sounds a tad deranged" I pumped my eyebrows up looking back down at my food. There was probably just over half left now. "Will you help me? He hid them away and refuses to tell me where they are". I thought to myself for a second, Elijah had shown me nothing but kindness. Maybe if I could befriend him, and do as he wishes for now, then this war between my friends and Klaus and his apparent family can end.
"Okay Elijah I will help you" I nodded once still looking down at my food thinking of my next line, and thinking about all the ways this could go wrong. "On one condition" I looked up now, at his glossy hazel eyes staring back at me. They slimmed as his face showed how intrigued he was. The vampire sat forward urging me to continue with a head nod upwards. "You promise after I have stayed and helped you with your family, and help you put it back together and kept you safe, you will release me, and allow me to go back to my friends".
He thought for a second and smiled softly at me before extending his suited arm and then his hand. "You have my word" Elijah slowly replied, so I heard in definitely. "Thank you" I exhaled, and placed my cutlery down so I could shake his hand. His handshake was firm and warm, I almost didn't want to let go, apparently neither of us did so we just stayed there, sort of holding hands, maybe- if you'd call it that.
After a few seconds I pulled back shaking my head into reality again, and Elijah cleared his throat and sat up straight. I picked up my cutlery again, so I could finish my food and the he said "I have some information in the next room, after you finished we can look into it, for now we may conversate, how was your sleep in the guest room?" he asked me, changing the subject so smoothly and unawkwardly.
I finished my breakfast as Elijah told me some of the history of the house and I told him a bit about where I grew up. After he'd cleared my plate, we walked through to the living room where Elijah had papers, photos and letters sprawled across the coffee table. Both of us began to look through them and he explained to me what was what. He basically was convinced his siblings were in a house, but when he'd gone to look for them they hadn't been there.
Elijah explained that all the evidence pointed to this once place, but he wasn't able to sense them in a way a banshee would. He needed my abilities while searching the house. And so I agreed to go to the house with him and help to look for them. But only after id showered and changed my clothes.
"Aha, of course, I had some set out for you on the side table" he pointed past my head with a flick of his flinger and I turned to look. There was a box in brown paper, with a pink ribbon around the outside, sitting behind the door. "Theres a few bits, I wasn't really sure what you'd like when I went to the shop" "Y-you- when did you go to the shops?" I squeezed one eye closed. "At eight am when they opened" he raised his eyebrow like it was the most simple thing ever. No man had ever brought me clothes either.
"Thank you" I smiled gently and began to stand. "Also Rebekah's room is two doors down if you ever fancied riding her wardrobe- I brought a few things back but they may be out of- woman's modern fashion". I giggled behind my hand and thanked him again before taking the box up, showering and changing into a pair of blue flared jeans and an oversized cream sweater.
Elijah then drove us to the house, which was about an hour away. We held up conversation the whole ride and I realised I was starting to open up and trust him more with every conversation. And maybe I was just sitting on his good side but when the sunlight shone in the right place his eyes lit up a gorgeous honey colour, and his whole face sparkled.
"This is it- 34 oakward crescent" he slapped his hands on his thighs as we walked towards it. I looked up at it feeling sceptical, I looked past the bright flower beds, feeling the death of the slugs the repellent has killed. I swallowed looking towards the door and felt myself step forward without even thinking about doing so. Suddenly I was holding the handle. I looked up and Elijah was next to me looking worried. "Elijah- if your siblings are here- or if they're not- I don't think it matters" I blinked looking down at my hand.
"This house has seen death", my hand was shaking unsteadily making the handle rattle. Elijah put his hand over mine and squeezed gently, "It'll be okay" he turned the door handle with my hand slowly, and pushed the door open. The house was silent. Elijah walked in first, there was no problem with him entering, so the house must have belonged to Klaus. I followed him and closed the door behind me.
"What now?" I whispered, unsure why I was in the first place. "Well- I've looked everywhere" he sighed staring around looking unsure himself. I headed in the direction of the open living room taking a look around myself. But nothing felt out of place here. Elijah took me around the whole house but I couldn't feel anything, anywhere. I wondered if it had something to do with the fact that they weren't really dead.
As we headed out, beginning to leave, a group of photographs on the wall caught my eye. I stopped to stare back at them. Why would Klaus have photos of a random African family on his wall? "Y/n, are you okay" Elijah called out from the doorframe. Ignoring him, and in a trance I reached out for the middle frame and pushed it upwards. It clicked. And the a sound of clanging metal bombarded the house.
The panels on the side of the staircase began to slide down one by one revealing a doorway. Elijah was by my side now staring at the gaping hole that led to darkness. "You- are amazing" he whispered with a smile still looking ahead. We entered and started defending the stairs, Elijah insisted on him going first. But there was no threat at the bottom. Just three white coffins standing in the middle of the small basement. That's all. "You found them" Elijah darted forward with a smile on his face and hearts in his eyes.
He flung the lids up and stood back looking at his siblings with a grateful expression. I walked to his side and he there his large, suited arms around me. My face felt warm in his chest again and I didn't want him to ever let go. "Thank you y/n- I've been at this for so long" he whispered in my ear. “I’m glad you have your family back” I whispered backed, and he pulled back smiling excitedly at me. Elijah turned back to the boxes.
He advanced first on his sister and gripped onto the dagger, pulling it out in one swift go. He moved to one of his brothers next doing the same thing, until finally he got to the third. Slowly, each body grew its colour back and the grey shade vanished alongside the creepy veins. The girl sat up first gasping. There were tears in her eyes. “Elijah” she gasped, throwing herself out the coffin and around her brother. She looked down at her clothes and then straight ahead towards me.
“How long- Elijah?” Her eyes blinked rapidly waiting for him to talk. “Ninety years” he swallowed, and Rebekah stood back shaking her head. “Where is that bastard” her hands grew into fists and with that, the second sibling sat up. His face was more confused and weary, rather than sad and shocked. “Elijah” he raised his eyebrow and then looked to Rebekah. “You too huh” he pumped his eyebrow and hopped out of the box. “Ninety years Kol” “oh poor you, Finns never even stepped out of that thing” Kol rolled his eyes and then, they landed on me.
“Hello” he smiled and took a step toward me. Elijah put his arm out. “She’s with me”. Kol never removed his smiled, he laughed out instead. “And what’s your name if it’s not dinner” Kol asked, with humour. Or without. “Y/n”. That was all I said. That’s all I needed to say to him, before I shuffled further behind Elijah. And then the attention was taken off me. Who I presume was Finn, now sat up gasping and throwing himself about frantically. He looked like he was dressed in a Halloween costume. “What- is going on” Finn blinked drawing back looking at what everyone else was wearing.
“We all have a lot to discuss, if you would allow me, I will take you all home” Elijah replied looking across their faces. There were no objections. And so that’s what we done. Elijah was prepared for this and had blood bags and modern clothes ready for them as they entered. It took a few try’s and after a little screaming we eventually got the five of us in one room.
“So I was in that box for 900 years” Finn lifted an eyebrow and sat backwards in the sofa. “And I 98” Kol stroked his chin nodding his head sarcastically. “Where is he Elijah” Rebekah squeezed her hand so tight the glass smashed to pieces and bourbon splashed all over the fur rug. “That is not important yet, he doesn’t know I have undaggered you” Elijah replied looking across at her. “Don’t I?”. A voice appeared from the hallway, and out of nowhere, a man appeared in the doorway with a large smile across his face. Klaus.
“Brother?” Elijah pinched his eyebrows together. “I am going to kill you!” Rebekah screamed and threw one of the closes glasses she could reach his way. Klaus moved out the way slightly and it smashed against the wall in the hallway. “What a lovely family reunion” he grinned further. The next moment happened in a flash, all three of the siblings darted towards klaus with objects in their hands. Elijah, grabbed me by the waist and hoisted me up, vamp running with me in his arms. We landed at the back door where Elijah’s arm stayed around my waist.
“I’m sorry, my family are dysfunctional, but they are still family, and it’s my job to back the parts, not yours, you done your job perfectly, thank you” he smiled warmly rubbing a thumb across my back. “You should get out of here, back to your friends, before it gets really bad, here, take my car” he reached into his suit pocket and passed me a key. I didn’t move and so he took my hand and placed it inside and wrapped his hands around it. “You’re special, I hope we get the chance to meet again Y/n” he tumbled out, showing a glimpse of sadness in his eyes.
“Elijah I- I don’t know what to say, I- was there ever going to be enough time?” I blinked up at him sadly, I didn’t want to part with him. I didn’t. “Not in your one lifetime sweetheart” he pushed his forehead against mine and tucked my hair behind my ear. “Be safe, please” he whispered and kissed my forehead softly. And the next time I looked up he was gone. Just like that. Maybe hard partings were easier that way, but my hand still lingered as if he was there. “Thank you” I whispered, knowing he could hear me. “For everything”.
And with that I turned to grab the door handle and exited the house. It led me to a stone floor that looped around to the front, where the car was parked. I waded across the stones, sinking every time I took a step, thinking about what I’d been through, and my time spent with Elijah. I unlocked the car and as I opened the door my head was flooded with a vision.
When It was over, I blinked up at the sun from the floor. I sat up straight. “Elijah!” I gasped.

6k words: An attempt at a rewrite of Originals Season 3 Episode 19 "No more heartbreaks" where some things turn out a little differently and they all act a little smarter.
Warnings: a little violence (the whole Davina/Kol thing and Camille is obviously bitten)
A/N: I actually made it a lot earlier than I promised, but I also came home from work yesterday and wrote for three hours. I was mad because I hate that episode so much because it makes me crazy that they all just acted like absolute idiots when they were always portrayed as smart and cunning. Like did anyone even have one brain cell in that episode? Oki anyways this will be straight up Klamille, I hope you enjoy it. If you prefer to read on Ao3. I also have a crush on Leah Pipes which has nothing to do with anything but I felt like confessing. Also I hate this mood board I think I am going to change it soon.

"I can tell you, I love you tomorrow, you are not dying today," Klaus cursed as he picked Cami up, cradling her head almost aggressively against his chest, while carrying her upstairs the compound.
His heart was racing, his mind trying desperately not to short circuit as he looked at Lucien's bitemark again. He was trying to make sense of this, but none of it seemed to work. He had seen how his own brother Finn had succumbed to the pains of this bite and he knew that his blood could not help Cami survive this. He wondered if that was how all the vampires he had bitten over the years, as a form of revenge, had felt. If this was the helplessness his victims had suffered from. But as he put Cami down he just frowned. He was not going to think about anyone else while the love of his life was lying right there, shaking against him.
"Cami," Hayley's voice said as she saw Klaus carrying Camille upstairs into his bedroom. She followed him and stared at her friend, her eyes immediately finding the bite mark. Klaus looked at Hayley and gave her a short nod, "Don't worry. We shall find a solution. We always do."
Hayley swallowed hard and gave him a quick nod. "I am going to call everyone we can find, who might want to help us. It won't be hard. Everyone loves her." Klaus looked down at Camille and nodded. He knew that if he or one of his siblings would be in this position no one would come for their rescue. But Camille…she might have a chance. And he was not someone to give up easily.
-
Camille O'Connell would have never called herself a brave woman. Especially not in a town full of vampires, not while witnessing how people like Hayley gave up everything for her family.
But after she had finally accepted her transformation she had started to use some self-esteem practices that she had learned during her studies, and was now able to admit to herself that she was capable of brave actions.
Deciding to go into the safe house with Elijah. Deciding not to die. Deciding to save Klaus from Aurora. Deciding to trust Klaus Mikaelson. But at this moment she did not feel brave. She felt horrible and dreadful. Yet she tried desperately to not be angry at Aurora, while pulling up her sleeve to look at the horrible bite mark Lucien had left on her. Despite that she could feel a small rage burning inside her.
"Camille," a voice called for her and she sat up abruptly. She hadn't even noticed that she had fallen asleep after Freya had put on a salve that should ease her pain. She looked at Klaus who was still sitting behind her, holding her hand. A warm feeling was spreading inside her, despite her head spinning a little as she realized that it had not been Klaus who had called out for her.
"Elijah," she sighed and gave him a soft smile.
"How are you?," he asked and Camille knew that he knew that she felt like shit. He was just asking in that polite Elijah way that she had always admired and hated at the same time. Her smile transformed into a grin and she chuckled, "Well beside the fact that I am dying I'd say that I am pretty fine. Everyone feels guilty. My favourite ambiance," the silence was deafening and Klaus' hand tightened. Cami rolled her eyes and looked at Elijah.
"Humor me, please?," she asked and Elijah gave her a small smirk in response.
"At least you have not lost your spirit yet," he commented when suddenly Vincent burst through the door.
"I came the second I heard. Cami, I am so sorry," he stammered his voice full of regret. Camille closed her eyes. She didn't want to answer. She didn't feel like she had too. Her head hurt, she felt sick and everyone around her was apologising, but was anyone actually doing something? No. Hayley was looking around trying desperately to think about a solution, while Klaus was soaking in his misery and Vincent in his guilt. At least Freya was useful. Camille hated herself a little for those thoughts. She was wound up and tired and she just wanted to sleep really badly and wake up once this nightmare was over. She had come to the Mikaelson compound to tell Klaus that she loves him. She had already convinced herself that she was dying and that even her immortal-hybrid-situationship was unable to do something about it. And now everyone was standing around her, and trying to fix it. And they were so loud. God, why did everything have to be so loud?
"Well you should be," Klaus hissed at Vincent, unaware of Camille's internal turmoil, "This is your f-"
"Niklaus," Elijah warned, "We may not have much time. Let Vincent do what he has to."
"And what might that be? What does he have to do?," Klaus asked, his tone icy, as he looked like he was about to commit a murder.
"Klaus please stop," Cami said, finally managing to open both of her eyes again and fight against the continuous poking inside her head. She sat up and took his arm, luckily he was not standing far from her. For some reason she was the calmest in the room and when Klaus noticed that, his face immediately softened. Yet it tensed again, the second he turned around and saw how weak Camille looked. He wanted to be calm for her, but maybe right now was not the time. Now was the time to threaten and command, why was he the damn King of this city if he couldn't decide who lived and who died?
"I think I know how to fix this. Lucien has always been obsessed with me, he made himself like me, my bite is cured by my blood, so his blood will save Camille," Klaus insisted, turning back to Vincent and Elijah. Vincent nodded slowly.
"Yea that makes sense, we got a working theory, now how do we get his blood?," Vincent inquired, his guilt gone and replaced by sheer determination. Camille looked between them as she remembered the horrible moment in which Lucien had killed her, "His blood is all over my apartment, I sliced him to hell before I ran."
"Okay I got this one, Lucien's got no reason to look out for me," Vincent nodded but Klaus shook his head.
"No. Anyone can fetch that blood, go and compel a human to bring it," Klaus dictated Elijah, before looking back at Vincent, his eyes less dangerous and more resolute, "You are going to stay here and find another solution, just in case the blood doesn't work."
"Maybe we hedge our bets. Hope is a Mikaelson witch who carries the wolf gene, we already know that she's got healing powers," Hayley, who had been silent until now, reminded.
"It's worth a try," Freya nodded.
"I'll tell Mary that I am coming," Hayley squeezed Cami's hand, the hand Klaus was not holding, before leaving the room.
Klaus gave Elijah a short nod and he followed her out of the room.
-
Klaus was standing above Aurora's covered body, his eyes full of regret and hate. He remembered the discussion he had with Camille after he hadn't killed Aurora but decided to wall her up. He had truly believed that this was the better solution, that this was the way Aurora would regret what she had done to his Cami, but now he stood there, looking down and realising that Cami had been right all along.
They always crawl back from the grave. And for some reason she had to suffer because of it. He sighed as he heard Camille getting up from his bed and walk towards his study. He hadn't expected her to stay there for long. The last time she had been in his bed, she had killed herself due to Aurora's compulsion and became a vampire. A night that Klaus will regret forever.
"You should be lying down," Klaus muttered in thought as he looked up. Camille smiled and shrugged, "You should be getting me soup. It's the one advantage of being sick."
"Can you two maybe flirt in another room?," Vincent asked, annoyed from where he was sitting on the floor and Cami let out a small scream as the witch stared them down. Her vampire hearing was a little impaired due to the bite and she hadn't noticed his presence, while he was studying an old grimoire.
"Come on love" Klaus suggested, his usual smirk failing to appear as he took Camille's unbitten arm softly and guided her outside," Your friend prefers the quiet and so do I."
–
Freya had brought Camille a small vial to stop the infection from spreading faster and Camille felt already well enough to plunder the Mikaelson bourbon dash again, "One last time," she commented while pouring herself a drink, giving Klaus her most mischievous smile. Klaus only saw the prettiest woman he had ever seen, stealing his bourbon and watched her with unhidden affection and a smirk as she inspected every bottle like the professional bartender she used to be.
"If I die at least I will die with bourbon in my blood. Right next to Lucien's venom," she grinned. Klaus shook his head and he used his vampire speed to pull her away from the table.
"Listen to me carefully, love," he insisted, making sure that she was looking into his eyes, "You may have any alcohol you have ever wanted from my collection. I'll rob Elijah's cellar or his secret stash that he thinks I don't know about. But do not say that this is going to be your last drink. Because I am going to save you. I'll do Whatever. It. Takes. Do you hear me? I will protect you, Always and Forever."
Camille lowered her head, but Klaus was having none of that and immediately forced her to look at him again, "Please. Do not look away from me. Just say it."
"Always and Forever," Cami whispered and Klaus kissed her forehead, pulling her tightly against his chest.
"Do not think about dying now, Cami," he whispered and continued to kiss her hair while stroking her back. He inhaled the scent of the vanilla perfume she had gotten from Davina as an apology that Kol had been angry with her.
She used to wear a cinnamon one, he knew that one just as well, but Cami had been unable to wear that after turning into a vampire since it had completely overstimulated her senses. Klaus wouldn't have cared if she had never put on perfume again, but he was glad that she had been able to get some sense of normality back into her everyday life. When he looked at it like that he realises how estranged they had become after her transformation, he had no idea what her everyday life actually looked like.
"Then what else am I supposed to do?," Camille asked helplessly, looking up at him. Klaus thought about that and then pulled her with him, upstairs into his study, past the room where Vincent was still trying to figure out how to save her. Klaus did not let her look.
"We are going to make a list," he said and put a big paper in front of her, "A list of all the places where I am going to take you, after I served you Lucien's head on a silver plate."
In spite of herself Cami had to giggle a little, to try and set her nervousness aside, "Oh God, please do not do that," Klaus smirked and let go of her. "So are you mixing me a drink, or what?," he nudged her and opened another cabinet full of alcohol.
"Do you just have one of those in every room?," Camille asked dryly.
"Not in the nursery, what kind of father do you think I am?"
-
An hour passed quickly, Klaus knew because regardless of his brave words earlier he had done nothing but look at the clock waiting for Hayley's, Elijah's and the compelled woman's return. Cami meanwhile had let her imagination run free. He was sure that she did not trust the cure one hundred percent but that she was hiding it to not make him feel bad. That was another reason why he wanted to save her from this bite.
She was currently drawing a sunflower on the paper where she had listed a lot of destinations.
Sweden (to find out if you can ride on sleighs there)
Kyoto (to win the egg game against a geisha)
London (to see Klaus' old castle and look at pictures of Lord Niklaus)
Mystic Falls (this one was probably only a joke but Camille had looked pretty serious while announcing that she wanted to see the love triangle Klaus had told her about)
Erfurt (she had searched for a fifth one)
Klaus was just mixing her third drink, (a mojito, she had forced him to learn how to mix it because she had insisted that he'd be a cool dad if he could show Hope how to do it, once she was old enough. He had sat beside her patiently while she had explained everything very clearly to him and it had taken him a few tries to make the perfect Mojito but Camille was pretty proud of him. Klaus had no intention of showing Hope though.) as the compelled woman stormed in with a bag of blood in her hand. Klaus took it immediately, compelling her to forget what had happened without another thought.
Camille stood up and Klaus wordlessly pressed the bag into her hand and Camille put it into her drink, before throwing it back expertly.
"Everything will be fine, I promised you," Klaus whispered and rubbed Cami's back.
-
Cami was just moving back to Klaus' bed, her head was hurting more and more, even though she drank the blood she did not feel better, she only felt sicker. She did enjoy drinking blood, any vampire did, but this was different. It had settled in her stomach making her want to throw it up immediately but she didn't want to tell anyone. Klaus looked up as Vincent joined them, clearly wanting to say something as suddenly his phone rang.
"Davina, have you found anything?," he asked bluntly and put her on speaker. Cami sat up listening quietly as she heard Davina panting through the phone. It sounded as if she was crying and she was clearly running. Cami and Vincent both frowned while Klaus massaged his temples.
"Vincent- I- I- am just leaving Rousseau's after talking to Lucien and he said…he said that there is no cure to his bite. Nothing that we can do," she sobbed. Camille took the phone from Vincent.
"Davina, it is okay. What else has happened, are you alright?," she asked worriedly. She still felt responsible for Davina even now that she was an adult, and she felt sick at the thought that the poor girl had encountered Lucien.
"I…I don't know. I'll have to find out," Davina whimpered, "Cami whatever happens, just know that I love you."
"I love you too, sweet girl. Take care," Cami whispered and hung up, handing Vincent his phone back.
"No. No, no, no, no, no," Klaus growled angrily, "I don't care who you have to kill, which ancestor you are going to make angry or what is going to happen to anyone else!," he snatched Vincent's shoulders with both of his hands, his golden eyes on full display, his veins rippling around his face, as he shook the witch, "You'll find a way! It is your fault! This is your mistake! Your doing! You will fix it or you shall answer to me!"
"Klaus, let go of him!," Cami screamed and tore at Klaus' hands, trying to get him off of Vincent. Klaus snarled and threw him onto the floor, before his hands cradled Cami's face.
"You will not die, Camille. I will not allow it," he hissed angrily and looked back at Vincent.
"Hey, hey, I am going to be okay," Cami whispered, "Look at me Klaus, I am fine, am I not? I am sure that Vincent is trying his best, okay?"
Klaus looked back at Vincent, his head was lowered. "Listen Klaus, maybe there is another way. But it might not work or be dangerous…," Vincent started as suddenly Cami stumbled to the side. Klaus caught her and she whimpered before her head fell forward and she passed out against his chest again. He turned towards Vincent before picking her up properly.
"I do not care what it is. Do it. You have everything at your disposal," Klaus demanded and carried Camille up to his bed.
Vincent closed his eyes before nodding and ran as fast as he could back into the room where he had come from.
-
Klaus smiled at Camille who was sitting opposite to him in a small café in the French Quarter, her hands in Klaus' as she listened to the music.
"Perfect day at a corner cafe. You really outdid yourself. If only it were real," she smirked and Klaus lowered his head giving her a soft smile. This mind illusion was his way to ease her pain and give everyone else more time to find another solution. A better one.
"I am being honest with you. I don't know if Lucien's blood will heal you. I don't know if Hope's blood will. All I know is that I am not going to stop until you are safe," he looked around
"Klaus?," Camille asked suddenly, a little more stressed, taking his hand into hers as he stood up, "What if I die today? What if Vincent and Freya do not find a cure in time?"
"Then I will avenge you. And I shall no longer rest, before you aren't brought back. This is New Orleans. If my dead as a doornail father is able to return three times than you can as well," Klaus said trying to hide how serious he was with a forced smirk, as he pulled her up and into his arms. He couldn't remember the last time when he had hugged someone so often. Camille held onto him tightly and nodded as Klaus kissed her hair. She followed him, letting him guide her along a side street through the quarter, heading to the main one. She kissed his cheek and nodded.
"Please promise me to not be too hung up on revenge," she sighed and Klaus raised an eyebrow as a drunken man stumbled right into him.
"You expect me to forget you?," he asked.
"I didn't say that. I meant that I expect you to be there for your daughter and teach her how to mourn someone without leaving bodies in your wake."
Klaus smiled, "You may teach her that. I will teach her how to be a leader."
Camille rolled her eyes as suddenly she lost balance and held onto him, "Klaus, Klaus," she cursed and Klaus caught her. Tears were running down Cami's face as she panicked.
Klaus opened his eyes, the illusion broken as he looked at Freya. She shook her head slowly, "Lucien's blood didn't help. She is getting worse. If you can distract her a little longer…Vincent is working on something. It is smart. It may work."
"Go help him!," Klaus barked at his sister and she stood up immediately fastily stepping towards the room where Vincent was still working.
Klaus closed his eyes again, concentrating on the Quarter.
"I am going to die tonight, aren't I?," Cami asked him and Klaus shook his head.
"Even if you are. It won't be forever. Do you hear me? I am going to find a way to bring you back, I will do anything in my power…"
Cami looked around, her eyes catching a painter whose essence flickered as Klaus' emotions ran high. "The painter…the music…the crowd," she turned towards Klaus who had helped her to sit down on the side of the fountain, "You remember every detail. I must have made an impression."
"You know very well that you did," Klaus said and took her face into his hands, "Can you hold on for me for just a little longer? Please Cami."
Camille slowly nodded, "Yes I will."
"Of course," Klaus smiled, "You are a fighter, aren't you? Even as a human, barely anything could scare you. Not me, not my siblings, not Marcel. You were brave although you knew exactly what we were."
"I was your stenographer," Camille chuckled and Klaus smiled.
"You should have published my autobiography and earned millions from it."
The second Klaus heard the car pull up the illusion broke again and he opened his eyes. The plan to take Camille on a date in his mind illusion had formed in a desperate attempt to spend some time with her, in case nothing worked. Even he was slowly starting to wonder if they'd ever find the cure. But he also knew that he could not think like that. Camille had promised him to hold on for a little longer and he had promised to save her. If she was able to keep her promise then so was he.
"Lucien said that there is no way of saving her," he informed Hayley and Elijah who entered the room, carrying a confused looking Hope in their arms. Klaus couldn't smile at the sight of his daughter or pay her more attention than a quick kiss on her hand and he just shook his head.
Freya stormed into the room, "Vincent is almost ready, but Camille's essence is weakening, you need to keep her occupied!," she demanded
"How am I supposed to do that?!," Klaus screamed frustrated.
"Make her cry! Make her want to live. If she doesn't want to die, every essence in her body will fight!"
Klaus closed his eyes and sat next to Cami, gripping her hand tightly.
"I am going to die," Cami whispered. Darkness had fallen over New Orleans and Klaus quickly switched it to a bright sunshine. He shook his head
"Cami please. Give me ten more minutes. Vincent found a way. He just needs you to hold on," he said and made her walk beside him, despite her weakening with every second step.
Cami sank down onto the pavement, against the fountain.
"Klaus you have people who love you. You need to remember-," she started but Klaus pulled her up, despite his aggressiveness he was still so careful. Even in the imagination he made sure not to hurt her.
"No. You are not starting with your goodbye monologue! Do you hear me?! You will keep walking, you will keep fighting, because you can! You promised me Camille! I found a cure so I kept my promise. You will keep yours, do you hear me?!," he almost shouted.
"Klaus!", Vincent's voice pulled him out of the illusion. He was holding a vial in his hand.
"What is that?," Klaus demanded
"Guess," Vincent said dryly.
"Are you joking? Tell me what it is or lose your head!," Klaus hissed and Hayley rolled her eyes. Elijah took the vial into his hand, turning it between his fingers, inspecting it. Realisation started to dawn on his face and he shook his head slowly. Vincent quickly snatched it away from him, handing it over to Klaus.
"I extracted the serum right out of Aurora's heart," he said. His voice should have sounded triumphantly but it didn't. Not at all. It sounded more like he was scared of what everyone else was going to think, almost as if even for him it was a big deal to openly tell the Mikaelson's that he was owning the serum that was able to kill them.
"Great, you wasted your time," Hayley sighed.
"No," Elijah and Klaus cut in at the same time.
"If Camille drinks that and then dies…she'll be healed," Klaus said, staring at the serum in his hands.
"Niklaus," Elijah interrupted and seized Klaus' arm, "She will also wake up as an upgraded Original."
"We really need a cooler word for that," Hayley sighed and shook her head, while Klaus looked at Elijah.
"Do I look as if I care?," Klaus barked at Elijah, trying to get past him to Camille. His voice was so dark that it would have sent anyone else running. But not his brother. Elijah shook his head slowly but did not step back.
"What did I miss?," Marcel asked as he walked through the door.
"Klaus, her heart is getting weaker," Freya warned and Klaus turned to her, "She only has a few minutes left."
"Niklaus, she has gone off the rails before, when she became a normal vampire, or do I have to remind you that she is the only reason that this serum even exists?," Elijah snapped, putting himself between Klaus and Camille even more obviously.
"Step out of my way," Klaus commanded, lifting his head.
"Niklaus, I am serious, what if you two have another quarrel and she gets reminded of the fact that she hates you-," Elijah started but he was unable to finish the sentence. Without another word Klaus lunged at his brother, sinking his fangs into his neck.
Elijah growled angrily, trying to get Klaus away from him, but Klaus had already let go, pushing the weakened Elijah into Marcel who helped him sit down. Hayley lifted her hand to cover Hope's eyes who was now starting to cry, even more confused about what was happening.
Klaus wanted to say something to Elijah but he noticed Camille starting to shake more, so he quickly grabbed her and shook her until she managed to open one of her eyes.
"Klaus?," she mumbled, completely gone, "The Quarter went dark again…I tried to keep walking, but I couldn't. You promised me this date, please…"
"Camille, you need to drink this, I have the cure. Your cure," he whispered and shushed her while sitting her up.
Cami was clearly not listening. Hayley pressed the crying Hope into Freya's arms and sat next to Klaus, opening Camille's mouth for him. Klaus poured the serum past her lips without a second thought and closed his eyes.
"Swallow it," he commanded and gave Hayley a sign. They both pressed into Camille's head, forcing her to use the last of her energy to swallow it all, "Swallow," he repeated.
"Well, bet it's not the first time he said that," Vincent commented with a small smirk. He was a little proud of extracting the serum. Klaus stared at him, Elijah stared at him. Hayley stared at him. Even Marcel stared at him. Freya did not understand the joke.
"Not the time man," Marcel said dryly.
"Okay sorry, wrong audience," Vincent admitted and lifted his hands.
"Sweetheart, this is only going to hurt very shortly, alright?," Klaus whispered as he held Cami against his chest. Hayley picked Hope back up, calming the crying child.
Elijah was sitting on the chair, his eyes glassy as he watched Klaus, with a small shake of his head
"Hm?," Cami asked, in the same moment Klaus closed his eyes and snapped her neck. Camille fell against Klaus and Marcel inhaled sharply.
"A lot more merciful than letting the bite do the job," Klaus said as he kissed Cami's hair once again, before laying her down, putting the blanket up to her shoulders. She was so impossibly cold.
He stood up slowly and walked towards Elijah, looking at his older brother.
"Did my bite hurt you?," he asked. Elijah didn't say anything, he just kept eye contact with Klaus, "Answer me," Klaus hissed.
"Yes, Niklaus. It hurt." Elijah gave back, sounding annoyed.
"Then imagine how she was feeling. The bite of an upgraded Original…impossible to imagine. Isn't it?," Klaus asked sarcastically, "Do you really think that it is the worst idea to have one of them on our side?"
Elijah turned his head away, "I am happy for you that she is not dead," he said instead of an answer. Klaus didn't push him further. Instead he looked between Camille, Marcel, Vincent, Freya, Hayley and his daughter.
His first instinct was to take his daughter into his arms and hold her tightly, but he shook his head. Instead he looked at Marcel remembering somthing.
"Davina called earlier. She sounded distressed. You might want to look after her," Klaus told him, before looking back at Elijah.
"If this works. I owe every single one of you something, no matter what it is," Klaus looked at Elijah and wordlessly held out his wrist. Elijah stood up carefully, stammering towards him before taking it and pushing his fangs in, letting Klaus' blood run down his throat.
"If she becomes a risk…"
"Do not act as if it is her fault alone that the serum was made. Lucien worked for years on it and sooner or later one of us would have made a mistake and given him his final piece," Klaus hissed.
"Let me finish. I said that if she becomes a risk it was worth it. You were right, Niklaus. We are losing people left and right. I am glad you could save her," his gaze wandered to Hayley for a second and the tension in the room turned a little awkward. Marcel tried to call Davina for the seventh time.
"Davina is not answering. Something must have happened," Marcel said and left the compound with vampire speed.
Klaus sat back down at the bed and closed his eyes, taking Cami's hand into his own, "And now we wait. We might want to talk about a way to kill Lucien.
-
The morning sun was already falling through the windows, when Klaus heard Hope crying for food and Elijah had fully recovered. Freya had fallen asleep in a chair and he had manoeuvred her on the couch. Hayley had slept next to Hope and Klaus had stayed right here the entire night.
"It didn't work," Klaus whispered and stood up looking at his brother, "But good speech."
"Klaus?," Camille's voice suddenly whimpered. Klaus turned around, Camille was sitting on the bed, red veins rippling around red eyes, her body trembling despite the three extra blankets Klaus had put on her.
"I am here, love," Klaus said immediately, taking her hand into his. The red eyes disappeared and she leaned over to hug him tightly. Klaus held her in his arms as if she was the most precious thing in the world. Because at that moment she certainly was. He let go of her and inspected her arm, the bite mark completely gone.
Camille laughed unbelieving, her face seemed to glow in a way Klaus had not seen in a long time, "Oh my god you did it. All of you did it," she said and looked around. Freya was slowly waking up and Hayley entered with a happy and giddy Hope in her arms.
Camille hugged Klaus, then ran to Freya, then to Hayley and Hope. Even Elijah came into her hugging radius. He tensed a little, looking guilty but then he patted her back, "I am glad that you are back."
"Was it Hope's blood in the end?," Cami asked and Klaus looked away.
"Let's take a walk in the quarter, shall we?," he asked and took her hand. Camille looked around.
"Klaus will you tell me why everyone is staring at me as if I killed someone?," she asked but still took her jacket from him.
"Just walk with me, please," he said and took her hand. Before he could leave the room he turned towards Vincent, who had gotten a blanket and the couch next to Freya.
"I was serious earlier. If you need anything…," he didn't finish the sentence. Vincent inclined his head and Cami smiled at him.
Klaus led her down the main road right into the French Quarter. It was louder than in his illusion but he didn't mind.
-
At the Mikaelson compound Marcel and Kol stormed into the main hall, Davina full of blood in Marcel's arms. Kol was crying and Marcel looked helplessly at Freya and Vincent.
"How is Camille? I have your next job already," Marcel said. Kol's face was buried in Davina's neck as he cried and begged her to come back to life. But uselessly. As if he hadn't spent the entire night doing exactly that.
"Move," Freya commanded, pushing him aside, "What took you so long?," she asked Marcel, "You left about seven hours ago."
"He had to beat me up, before we could save her," Kol mumbled and Marcel threw him a deadly glance. Elijah rubbed Kol's back like he used to do when he was still a little boy.
"This is New Orleans, witches come back all the time, can you save h-," Marcel started and Freya glared at him.
"If you will shut up for five seconds, yes I shall try," she hissed.
"Camille is alive," Hayley answered Marcel's earlier question, "She is taking a walk with Klaus." Marcel closed his eyes thanking every god he does not believe in and nodded.
-
"This is just as beautiful as in your imagination," Cami said with a smile and let go of Klaus' hand as she ran through the Quarter. She has not felt this kind of relief in a very long time. Klaus smiled brightly, taking her hand back.
He remembered how broken she had been after she had become a vampire. He did not notice any of that now. She just looked happy. He caught up with her, taking her face in between his hands, before leading her further down the road.
"Soo…Sweden?," he joked and Camille laughed.
"Not before you tell me why everyone looked at me weirdly when I asked how you saved me," she said and smirked, hugging him tightly. She felt overly excited, the power that she had felt when she had become a vampire seemed to have tripled. She had no idea why but she felt as if she was able to take on anything or anyone.
"Well…Vincent had a very uncommon idea to save you," Klaus said carefully, "He extracted the serum out of Aurora's heart. It was what Hayley and I made you swallow. You are an upgraded Original now. Like Lucien."
Cami stared at him and her smile disappeared. Klaus expected her to run, to scream, to discuss but instead she just nodded slowly, "Hm. That's why I feel so strong. Does that mean Lucien is unable to hurt me?"
Klaus nodded, "Yes. But you now have the power to kill me and my entire family with one bite."
Camille smiled and pulled him to the Jackson Square fountain where she had almost died earlier and looked up at him.
"I love you Klaus," she whispered, standing on her tiptoes to whisper it into his ear, "And I have already told you that twice. So it must be the truth. I am never going to hurt you or your family. Do you hear me? You promised me to protect me Always and Forever so I am giving you that promise back. All I want to do is kick Lucien's ass."
Klaus laughed and sat down next to the fountain, where he hugged her tighter than he had ever hugged anyone before, "I love you too Camille," Klaus admitted honestly, "And I am sorry that it took me so long until I told you."
He softly took her face into his hands and kissed her. Their lips met and all the tension that had been forming in Klaus' body the past day immediately fell off. His face softened and he closed his eyes allowing himself to enjoy the moment. He did not know how to kill Lucien. He did not know what would become of the future. But he knew that he survived another day and so did the love of his life. They parted but Cami did not let him go far. Instead she leaned against him, listening to his blood rushing through his body and smiled, as he cradled her tightly.
Klaus knew that he loved her and that she loved him. And that was the most powerful gift he could have ever gotten.
