hello !! typically, we simply ask that you don't genderbend what a character canonly identifies as. many in the community have come forward to explain the discomfort and transphobia behind genderbending. although, if the question is what counts and what doesn't - if a character in comics or media is known to be, for example, a girl, we ask that she still identifies as such, but she does not need to be a cisgendered girl, and can be trans so long as she identifies female. for trans, nonbinary, etc. characters, we ask that the face claim used respectively reflects their gender identity. obviously not every character can be painted with the same brush and if there's a character you have in mind and aren't sure what would be acceptable, please feel free to reach out to us so we can discuss further!
