Produzida em 2011, a novela Emperatriz fez muito sucesso no México e teve como protagonista Gabriela Spanic, conhecida no Brasil por ter interpretado as irmãs de A Usurpadora (1999). O folhetim foi produzido pela TV Azteca e o SBT adquiriu seus direitos de exibição em 2013 para exibir na faixa vespertina do canal. Porém, oito anos depois, a emissora de Silvio Santos engavetou a trama e não…
