Approximately 4.5 years old. Friendly once he gets to know you. Good with someone who has cat experience. Indoor only. Not good with small kids. No dogs. Has lived with another cat before but okay as an only cat too.
What to Do If Your Aligner Tray Cracks Mid-Treatment
It happens more than you would think. You take the tray out to eat, or pop it back in a little too fast, and suddenly there is a hairline split or a snapped edge staring back at you. A cracked aligner is not a disaster, but it is not something to just keep wearing and hope for the best either, so it helps to know what actually matters here.
First, figure out how bad it is. A tiny crack that does not change how the tray fits is different from one that has broken a piece off or made the aligner loose and sharp. If it still seats properly and holds its shape, it can often keep working for the short term while you sort out a replacement. If it is cutting into your gum, no longer fitting snugly, or has lost a chunk, that one is done and you should stop wearing it.
The reason it matters is that your aligners are doing a job, and a broken one cannot do it properly. Each tray is built to apply a specific, gentle pressure that nudges your teeth a set amount. A cracked tray spreads that pressure unevenly or not at all, which means the planned movement stalls. Worse, a tray that is not really working lets the teeth start drifting, and that can throw off the trays lined up behind it.
So the move is to call your provider rather than improvising. Do not tape it, glue it, or try to file down a sharp edge, because anything that changes the shape changes how it pushes on your teeth. Depending on where you are in the series, you will usually be told one of two things: drop back to your previous tray, which still fits and keeps the teeth stable, or jump ahead to the next one if your teeth are ready for it. Both keep things on track far better than wearing a broken aligner or, just as bad, wearing nothing while you wait.
This is also a good reason to hang onto your last set of trays instead of tossing them. That previous aligner is the perfect placeholder if a current one breaks, since it already fits and stops your teeth wandering. Anyone going through clear aligners in Tustin is usually told to keep them for exactly this kind of moment.
Bottom line, a cracked tray is a quick speed bump, not a derailment. Stop wearing the broken one if it is genuinely damaged, fall back on your previous tray to hold things steady, and check in so they can get you the right replacement. Handled promptly, it barely registers on your overall timeline.

Meet First Gentleman 🐾
First Gentleman is a charismatic boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s incredibly affectionate, thrives on human companionship, and proudly follows his people from room to room like a loyal aide—always nearby, always involved.
Playful and engaging, First Gentleman enjoys interactive fun and quality time, then happily settles in for affection once the day’s duties are done. He prefers to be the star of the household and would do best as an only cat, though he may also be comfortable with younger, more easygoing feline companions.
As a true gentleman with a curious streak, he does require attentive door security—open doors are tempting, and he’s always ready to explore beyond his domain.
If you’re looking for a devoted companion with presence, charm, and a touch of mischief, First Gentleman is ready to take his place at your side. 🐾💙
