β’ Flew more than 60 combat missions in Europe
β’ Protected bombers and flew dangerous missions over Germany, Italy, and France
β’ Survived being shot down in enemy territory
β’ Helped prove Black pilots were skilled, brave, and fully capable, fighting against both war enemies and American racism

β’ Became an engineer and inventor
