I just finished reading this gem that I found at the library #howtoliveplasticfree ... written by @mcs_uk. It was an easy, informative read. I have been focusing on reducing single use plastic but after this book I shall certainly notice the plastic and I will ask try to myself: is it necessary? where does it come from? where will it end up? Ocean Plastics We found this bit of line around our rudder. Green string complete with crustaceans growing. This resulted in an ethical dilemma - to throw back the plastic to let the sea life on it live...or bin the lot. Sense prevailed and the little creatures were removed. Any idea what they are? Under tricky conditions, @turnthetideonplastic came in 6th at the Newport leg of the @volvooceanrace. It wasn’t the result they were hoping for as they had made a huge effort heading for 3rd.
