We’ve been quite busy (and travelling for the past few days) which has made posting difficult, but here’s the low-down on what we’ve been up to! We finished up the business conference on Thursday. On Tuesday, Leah presented on non-profits and marketing, while Cassidy presented on the future of education (specifically in the online realm). Wednesday, Joy and Meredith lead the group of Turks and Americans in a business game that taught principles of organization and the Turks present on common Turkish stereotypes.

We left our hotel in Istanbul this morning around 9:30 so that we would have time to browse and haggle at the Grand Bazaar for a few hours before we were supposed to leave. We had a lot of fun exploring the never-ending maze of stalls, each filled with beautiful and interesting things. We left the Grand Bazaar in order to get back to the hotel and pack up, then took the long bus ride to the airport where we could catch our evening flight to Ankara. We had a few airport adventures (apparently, the weight limit for domestic flights is significantly smaller than the limit for international flights), but eventually had a safe trip to Ankara, where we settled into the hotel that will be our home for the next five days! Because it was already late when we got here, we have not been able to get the lay of the land yet—but we will be able to do some exploring and tourist-ing in the early afternoon tomorrow, before the events we have scheduled in the evening.
