Essence: Self is Pure Consciousness (Turiya), beyond all states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.

Key Points:

The Self is not limited to what we experience in the body or mind.

The three states of consciousness (waking, dream, deep sleep) are appearances, but the Turiya is the unchanging witness and the true Self.

AUM is a symbol of totality: its sounds map directly to these states and meditation on AUM leads one inward to Turiya.

It teaches non-duality (Advaita): what we think of as individual self and world are just appearances in Consciousness.

Key Theme: The nature of the Self (Atman) through the lens of consciousness states and the sacred syllable AUM (OM).

Structure: Only 12 mantras, but highly profound.
