Tummo (Inner Heat)
Image generated by the-path-inside using Stable Diffusion. View my other creations here. “Air is the element most needed by fire. This is why you need open spaces, the wind, and to fly. Because you have fire in you. This is why you look into the sky, why you make wishes, why you tread lightly. You, too, are the air, because inside you there is fire. Why do you think we breathe? Because we are kindling our fires.” - C. JoyBell C.
📚 BREATH 😌💨💨💨 Amazing Read!!! 💯💯💯 I never knew about breathing techniques before this book and it blew my mind 🤯🤯🤯☝️ This one was a little bit of a challenge considering I’ve never tried any type of breathing techniques before! 🤪 #Pranayama #SudarshanKriya #Tummo #Breathe 🙏😌💨 https://www.instagram.com/p/CacqPi6pVgV/?utm_medium=tumblr

This is a diagram I made showing Tummo's affects on the chakras. Tummo is Vajrayana inner heat yoga, and I've been practising it for a couple of weeks now with quick results. The smaller, bottom circle is the navel or sacral chakra. When it opens wide, full of light and fire, the energy connects with the heart chakra - the second of the smaller circles - bypassing the solar plexus which acts as a kind of pivot or press on the sacral but doesn't seem to contain a bliss essence drop like the sacral and heart chakras, so remains closed or not part of the Vajrayana system. When both the sacral and heart chakras are wide and full of heat, another circle or centre is formed embracing the two chakras, blending them as one ball of energy. The same happens when the energy connects to the throat, which also has a bliss drop, via the central channel, and a larger ball of energy is created blending the three chakras. It eventually advances to the crown where I imagine the whole body becomes full of light, but I haven't reached there yet. Use a little caution if Tummo appeals to you. Traditionally it should be practiced with a qualified teacher. I'm being guided by Guru Rinpoche and Tara and am extremely grateful, dedicating the practise to the liberation and happiness of all sentient beings. I think it's a beautiful diagram.

A great presentation of a jewel that still exists on our world, the Tibetan Yogis and Buddhists, Who have presented some very grounded information on living ...
These people have figured out how to manipulate involuntary functions of the human body. Scientists and others often hear the “spiritual” claims of Tibetian yogis and dismiss their practices. However, it is scientifically proven that breathing exercises and mind-focusing called Tummo allows anyone to warm their body with adrenaline. Wim Hoff has famously used this method to break numerous world records surviving extreme cold temperatures. To me, this is basically a bio-hack. Perhaps ancient yogis were the first hackers. Just take a look at the rigorous movements called Trul khor (see video). Somehow, an ancient monk was able to figure out how to manipulate the functions of their body with a series of movements. (The OA… anyone?) I believe science will continue to reveal other abilities this secretive culture has unlocked. Abilities that tap into so-called involuntary functions within our bodies. There is still so much about human biology and the mind-body connection that we do not understand. Just take a look at the placebo effect.

Tibet’s Seven Doors Into the Unknown
Some mysteries are not meant to be solved quickly — they are meant to change the person who approaches them.
High in the Himalayas, Tibet has long been surrounded by stories of hidden valleys, sacred texts, strange meditation practices, death rituals, and bodies said to dissolve into light. But these mysteries are not just “occult curiosities.” They are doorways into a different way of thinking about fear, death, patience, and transformation.
From the inner fire meditation known as tummo to sky burial, from the Bardo Thodol to the legend of Shangri-La, each tale asks the same quiet question:
What can the human spirit become when it stops running from silence?
This article explores seven Tibetan mysteries not as cheap supernatural claims, but as folklore, spiritual symbolism, and strange wisdom for those drawn to the unseen.
