tessavirtue17: #tbt 🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻 24 hours before opening night of the first tour we ever produced, we scrapped our personal number. We had focused all of our effort and energy on the rest of the show, we forgot to prioritize our own material! This program was meant to start with us dancing in shoes and progress to us transferring the choreography to the ice in real time. Perhaps a bit too ambitious! The morning of show #1, we got the rink early and choreographed an extra/new solo ... and progressed with a random off-ice dance routine every night instead! Ended up being my favourite part of the show to perform ... here’s a little of the “making of”.

klemmon10: For many years, I followed the careers of nine incredible Canadian figure skaters. For many years, I dreamed of someday getting the opportunity to work with these amazing athletes. Two years ago this dream came true, and would quickly become one of the most incredible professional (and personal) experiences of my life. Two years ago today was the first show of the Thank You Canada tour, starting in Abbotsford, BC. For two months, we drove coast to coast, making stops in every province all the way. Night after night, I watched these amazing humans light up the ice and bring an entire arena to tears (myself included). Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine this experience would extend beyond the walls of the arena and my physio treatment room. Never did I imagine I would be so lucky to call these incredible people my friends. From living on a tour bus (Cabin 1.0 and 2.0) to exploring cafes, yoga classes and roller coasters, the time off the ice spent with you was incredibly special. To my TTYCY fam, thank you for all the laughs, memories, bumps in the road, and hands down the most incredible adventure I could have ever asked for. Thank you for embracing my weirdness, Target Lady and Yoshi accents, and making me feel like one of the crew. I MISS YOU ALL, and will forever cherish all the memories made with you! Ps, I think we’ve got another Mario Party player in the making! ⛸🇨🇦 #ttyct #sportphysio #dreamsdreamsdreams #ohcanada #canadianmade #figureskating

gregkolz: Keep calm and self-isolate. #MoirMonday
And for the fans of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, I asked Elvis- who has spent the last few months touring with the pair on the Stars On Ice Tour- what they were really like. “I’m surprised the question wasn’t about if they’re together or not,” Stojko laughed before continuing, “They’re really great. Just two small town kids that did really well and now they are just soaking it in. Scott talks a lot, but very serious about his work… he’s a motivator, always willing to help… fun to be around. Tessa is a sweetheart, she is very gracious… she has no ego at all, and she is very grounded. They have such respect for each other… and they are just really good people”.
Despite all of Canada longing for them to be together, Stojko told me that, they in fact are not, though he spoke of what Moir replies when asked, “(he) often jokes and says things like ‘oh I wish I could marry her, if only she’d give me the time of day'” .
