Happy SRAP day!
In Oliver’s Glass House we have a long-awaited catch-up with the inventor extraordinaire, far away from the shocking events transpiring in Halo; and the robuts share some strong opinions…
The Steam Rollers Adventure Podcast is an actual-play steampunk comedy adventure podcast, featuring a Dungeons & Dragons style homebrew table-top gaming system. The show has just celebrated its 10th anniversary!
The story is set in an alternate timeline, in a world where the industrial revolution never happened. Season four is set in the aftermath of a great war in the fractured United States, which was portrayed over the course of season three.

PRESENTING... The Steam Rollers Adventure Podcast, Season 4: "The Curse of the Glass Witch" Episode 317, Chapter
nothing feels more satisfying than being able take an old ttrpg character out of mothballs to use in a new game
long-running tabletop games just get to the point where you're kinda not playing the real game any more
Hey so i have never interacted with the two media titles it’s inspired by whatsoever but that could be a good thing so. How would you pitch your post-apocalyptic card(?) game to a general audience? Is the blackjack aspect all-encompassing or more of a specific mechanic (i.e. combat system)?
I think the best way to pitch it is essentially as a magical spaghetti western (weird west). Imagine cowboys fighting dragons made of old household technology or giant lizards and you're getting an idea. The specific setting is a version of the United States with a massive belt of desert stretching from coast to coast through the middle of it, from which these supernatural things emerge. As for the blackjack aspect, it was intended to be a large majority of things, though probably pared down for none combat encounters (maybe just a card flip or the like). It operated on a degrees of success chart where the closer to 21 you got, the better the result. A couple of other ideas for supplements to that were floated, but those didnt get far enough along for me to speak on with any kind of certainty (the big one was a magic system that could be messed with depending on a draw from a tarot deck)
