Ways to spread love this Valentineâs Day! (Or any day, really)
drop a heartfelt appreciation message in your mutualsâ inboxes! Some ideas of things to say are how they make you feel, what your earliest memory of them was, first impressions and favourite memory with them. What do you love about what they post or reblog? What do you associate them most with? For bonus points, you can even draw em a little doodle on a post-it note or send a cute animal gif!

if youâre a fanfic reader, read some fanfics and drop a kudos and comment! Some ideas are dailybean or daylio for daily journaling (you just tap on icons, no need to actually write out what youâve done, but thereâs a place to do that too), study bunny which helps you keep track of your study hours through timers using a lil bunny and aloe bud which reminds you to self care in diff ways. Consider ones that will send self care and self love notifs to your lockscreen too. For calm, idle games, thereâs also tsuki odyssey (which I love to bits) where you can check in on a bunny in a village, fish and buy furniture for his house, neko atsume where you check in on your backyard for kitties and put out toys and food for them, and cats and soup, where you get to tap on cats making soup, fish for them to eat and dress them. This can be something as simple as pair of earrings, a new game on steam, a plushie, a new duvet cover and pillowcase, a poster, an album, some new slippers, or something practical that will make your life a lot easier on those hard days. You could also buy a picture frame for a photo you really love and keep it somewhere close to you.
get a haircut, dye your hair or go get a consultation! Switch out negative energy for good energy and get a style that will make you feel happy, comfortable and confident.
dress up for yourself! Wear something you havenât worn in ages, an outfit that you thought was too much or too dramatic or too glamorous. Wear it, even if itâs just in your own room! Take selfies just for you or ask a family member to take a picture or video of you. If youâre feeling confident, wear it out too! (Stay safe and with a friend!) I bet youâll look awesome.
